Tips On Dealing With Intoxicated Assailants

By Cristopher Q Mikal

It was around midnight the moment I was assaulted. I am walking home coming from work the moment a burly, thuggish-looking person came up flying out of an alley to my side. He had a knife in one hand as well as an empty bottle in the other.

The stench of liquor was on his breath and I realized that I had a fight on my hands. I quickly reached into my jacket pocket and brought out among the best stun guns which I possessed, disabled the safety and lunged forward, hoping for the best.

Stun guns are non-lethal weapons that the police and security agencies prefer when it comes to disarming rowdy crooks. They do the job by transmitting a powerful electric shock, on contact, into the target's body.

That causes a significant amount of pain and overrides the target's capacity to move, making them to fall over. The effect lasts for simply a couple of minutes, providing you with plenty of time to escape, and doesn't result in any permanent damage.

I have taken care of drunken assailants in the past, using a 100,000 volt straight stun gun. Considering that the alcohol had numbed his senses, though, he wasn't able to feel any kind of pain and it was like I wasn't even touching him whatsoever.

After that ordeal, I upgraded my weapon to a 300,000 volt straight stun gun, expecting it would do better. It did do the job better, but just a little bit, and I wanted to ensure that I would be prepared the very next time I was confronted.

I learned that high voltage stun guns, with a rating of 1 million volts and over, can take down any attacker regardless of how drunk they were. Thus, I bought a 1,000,000 volt mini stun gun, certain that it would perform the job effectively.

I found that it was a lot more than effective and was even surprised at how fast it took an opponent down. Having come out of situations like that many times now, I can say for sure that the best stun guns are those you only have to shoot one time to achieve the desired result.
