Now, new designs for table top developed. Apart from its functionality for cooking, writing, and eating, it may also be provided with integral power points, and possibly even a sink with water and drainage outlets. It can also be secured solidly to the kitchen floor.

The bottom line is, you don't need energy to watch TV, but you do need to invest time in support activities to glean any educational value from what your toddler watches.
