So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Flower Delivery to Boston: Powered by the Internet

By Anissa Florence

Flower delivery to Boston, Massachusetts can be done from anywhere in the world if you decide to take advantage of the internet and order your flowers online. Not only can you get the best prices when you opt for online flower delivery, but you can also see the flowers that you are going to be sending across the miles. There are many things that you can keep in mind when you are opting for flower delivery to Boston. These include the type of flowers that you can send, the card that you will send along with the flowers and the time frame.

It is indeed reassuring to know that the available flowers online for delivery to Boston, Massachusetts are aplenty. Because of the floral hothouses that cultivate even the most hard-to-find flowers all year round, you don't only have the most varied choices but also the most unique ones. You can have just about every flower arrangement and kind of flower one can imagine.

You can send cut flowers in a box which are usually long-stemmed roses and deemed as extremely elegant. Alternatively, you can send a specially arranged bouquet made by a florist to suit your requests or creativity. Also included is your preference for the flower container. All these arrangements are online and florists are there to assist you.

When you arrange for flower delivery to Boston, you can then sign a card online to indicate to the recipient who the flowers are from. You can take your choice from different types of cards and either write your own words or use the words already on the card and sign your name electronically. Or, you can be anonymous - the choice is yours.

Also bear in mind the time frame when you are arranging for flower delivery to Boston, Massachusetts. If, for example, you are planning on sending flowers to your sweetheart on Valentines Day, you it is important that you order ahead of time.

Most online florists have the same day delivery service as the day of purchase. However, as with any other business, busy times can prove to be difficult especially when there is a surcharge in reservations, orders and requests. In this case, you might not enjoy the privilege of ordering and delivering on the same day. Another note to remember, Boston flower delivery keeps with the eastern standard time (EST).

LJ James talks about The FX Show "Sons Of Anarchy"

By LJ James

I have just finished reviewing the 2nd episode of the new FX show "Son's of Anarchy". I have been a fan of the FX Show "The Shield" for years and I have to say, I have enjoyed "Sons of Anarchy" so far. The show has great bikes and lots of action!

As a Member of an Outlaw Motorcycle Club, I have already seen many mistakes in the show. One thing that's really surprising to me is how people have reacted to the show and me personally. People who know I'm a member of a Motorcycle Club are asking me, "You guys aren't like that, are you?" Some of these people have known me for years! Now after a couple of episodes of "Sons of Anarchy" their wondering if I'm leading some kind of double life.

Can you imagine if a show about criminal killer Florists came out? How many people would ask the local florist if they where really like that? One fact of life about being a Biker I have come to except is, it's real easy for people to think of Bikers as the bad guys. It has always been and probably always will be that way. I wonder how many Cops had people ask them the same question when the Shield came out? I also wonder how many Police Officers who watch the Shield and know that show is fiction will watch "Sons of Anarchy" and think that's how Motorcycle Clubs really are! The FX show "Sons of Anarchy" is fiction and it is way over the top.

Son's of Anarchy is going to shine a bright light into the Motorcycle Club world. Where as the last ten years have been all about Motorcycle Builders and has led to a lot of people getting into Motorcycle Riding, I believe the next ten years will be all about Motorcycle Clubs. Now this show could be a good thing for Motorcycle Clubs if, in-between all the fictional action, it also focuses on the bond of Brotherhood Motorcycle Clubs are really based on.

Although there is opportunity for "Sons of Anarchy" to make a positive statement about Motorcycle Clubs, I have a feeling the show will have a negative impact on Clubs, Independent Bikers, and the Motorcycle Community in general. By highlighting the good Motorcycle Clubs do and the positive impact that they have on their communities, I don't think that is the way the program is going.

All Motorcycle Clubs are going to need to keep their eyes wide open and watch any new prospects. MCs need to make sure that new prospects are there for the Brotherhood and betterment of the Club and the community, not to live out some misguided fantasy they may have seen on TV or in some Movie. Another big concern of mine is people who will just go out and throw on a set of patches and think they are the "Sons of Anarchy". The Motorcycle Club world is all about Respect and there is a serious protocol that is followed by all Clubs. I would not recommend violating that protocol in any way.

Motorcycle Clubs have spent the past 20 years working hard to shake the old biker gang stereotype of the 60's and 70's. Now that we have come close to accomplishing our goal, shows like "Sons of Anarchy" and the upcoming HBO show 1% are here to drag our image back into the muck. How far will these shows set us back? I would ask the producers of these shows, there sponsors, and everyone else out there to please remember that Brotherhood is what the Motorcycle Club world is truly about.

Reasons to Wear a Motorcycle Helmet

By Frank Medley

Many who ride motorcycles always wear their helmet. But it's a rare drive where you don't see someone who is choosing not to wear a motorcycle helmet. Are they crazy? What are the reasons to wear a helmet?

Why would anyone in their right mind not wear a motorcycle helmet? There are many reasons. Some feel they cannot afford one. Others where it is not the law choose not to because they can. Many argue they like the freedom of choice.

There are also always stories circulating around motorcycle riders or someone who was injured or killed because of their helmet, much like those about seat belts. They therefore argue they're safer without one.

However, nothing could be further from the truth. When riding a motorcycle, the best way to protect yourself is by wearing a motorcycle helmet. Studies have shown that helmets drastically reduce motorcycle related fatalities and injuries.

If you love to ride, you've probably heard of the idea that all motorcyclists have either been in an accident, or will be. Motorcycles are notoriously prone to certain types of road issues and accidents.

These accidents, even small ones, can be made drastically worse if you are not wearing a motorcycle helmet for every ride. They are made specifically to protect the head and neck of riders.

Always remember to never buy a helmet used. If the helmet has been dropped or struck in an accident, it won't protect you, in the same way a bumper loses integrity after a crash. And you can often not tell if it has lost that integrity.

For those riders that still choose not to wear a motorcycle helmet, they may be in for a surprise. Many areas require motorcyclists and their passengers to wear them, and you can be ticketed and fined for failing to comply.

The Art in Concrete Polishing

By William Borris

If there is one thing that I could say about concrete polishing, it's the simple truth that no two jobs are the same. Perhaps that is why there are many craftsmen in the industry. You will not go to this job expecting routine, so you will learn to improvise and, more importantly, you will learn to come to every project prepared.

You have to go into each job with absolute pessimism. Your client will want to have his or her concrete floor polished; that doesn't necessarily mean that the person took good care of it all this time. Expect everything from multiple cracks, to obvious repeat pourings of different types of concrete, to outright potholes. And even then, you will probably encounter something you've never seen before. Learn to improvise.

No two jobs are the same. Concrete of different types will likewise require different grit sizes of diamonds, so go into each job well-armed. There is no magic diamond that does them all, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

First and foremost, choose the right machine if you're just starting into concrete polishing. Just because a machine is pricey, it does not necessarily mean it will be the best one for the job. Going into a store and talking with salespeople regarding buying a polishing machine is risky business, and I would advise caution against this, as of course, salespeople will claim their products to be the best on the market. Always ask for a demonstration, and if they decline, take it as a sign that they're afraid the machine will be faulty. Better yet, go to Concrete Polishing website and ask around.

Polished concrete as an industry is still new, and is practically filled with people coming out with new products and equipment to market to would-be concrete polishers. Keep in mind that salespeople are firstly, there to sell products. They probably might not know enough about how well their machines will perform in actuality. Ask an experienced person in the field for help, or go to a contractor in your area for your polishing needs. Chances are, the machines he'll offer are the ones he has tried and tested for his own business.

My Favorite Burgers on Long Island NY

By LJ James

When it comes to food, I am no gourmet expert. I do however know what I like. Now there are many foods that I love and really like but when it comes down to it one of my Favorite foods has to be Hamburgers!

Now I have been all over and while I have been to some really great Burger Joints in Upstate NY and a few other states, I have spent allot of my life on Long Island in New York. There are many great places to eat here on Long Island but when it comes to Hamburgers I have two favorite places.

The first is "All American Hamburger Drive" in 4286 Merrick Rd Massapequa, NY 11758 this place has been around as long as I can remember. As a kid growing up every trip home from Jones Beach always ended with a stop at this old fashion Burger Joint. Their is always a line outside of All American but the wait is worth it. They have two Burgers I love Their Quarter pounder with Cheese and their Double Double which is a double Burger with double cheese. I have been trying to figure out which one I like better for years. I have had fun trying but have not figured it out yet, If I ever Figure it out I will let you all know ! All American also has some of the best Fries, Onion Rings, Knishes and Milk Shakes I have ever had!

Now where All American Hamburger Drive In sells a fast food style Burger and I love them, There is also another Style Burger which I love too and that is the Bar Burger! Their are many really great places on Long Island that sell some really Great Bar Burgers but as the old saying goes when it comes to the best "their can be only one"!

My Favorite Long Island Bar Burger I have had so far has got to be from the "Triangle Pub" 381 Old Montauk Hwy Eastport, NY 11941 I have been to this place a bunch of times over the years and their Burgers are always Great! Now I can only speak about their large Burgers (Never got one of the small ones). The Triangle Pub is known by many across Long Island for its Giant Burgers and Giant Glasses of Ice Cold Beer! There is not much to say about the place as I have never had anything there beside the Beer and large Burger meal. The people are friendly, The service is good, The Location is Nice and the Giant Burger and Beer Combo with French fries or onion rings is incredible. I love stopping by either for dinner or lunch !

Like I said before I am not a food expert I just know what I like. I have not eaten every where on Long Island so if you know of a place that you think serves better Burgers then the two I have just told you about then let me know what they are called and where they are located and I will be there!

I also really Like Chicken Wings!!! L.J. James www.americanbikerx.com Radio Show BikerLowdown.com
