So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Four Easy to Create Home Decor Accessories

By Brittany Kooistra

Chances are that if you're really into interior design, you've heard of wall stamps, also referred to as wall words, or vinyl wall lettering. If not, then you're missing out on some of the most versatile, elegant, and inexpensive ways to transform the atmosphere of your home. Furthermore, you can use wall stamps without the need to drastically alter your walls via painting, etc. I believe that vinyl wall words are the most versatile medium to hit the interior design industry in the last 10 years. There are just too many home dcor related things you can do with vinyl lettering.

Because wall stamps are literally lettering, logos, graphics and shapes made from adhesive vinyl, there are so many things you can do with it. The vinyl has a sticky back that adheres to walls, mirrors, wooden plaques, or any other hard surface that isnt extremely porous. As long as its properly installed, this lettering can last for years (or minutes if you prefer), and is removable without damaging the walls of your home. With that said, lets explore some of the most conventional ways to use wall stamps to decorate your home.

Wall lettering is possibly the most popular way to use walls stamps for home dcor. You can use the vinyl lettering, which is available in a lot of different fonts, colors, and sizes to add a hand painted stenciled look to your walls. While the wall lettering does look hand painted, its easy to install, with no mess, and isnt permanent " it can be removed whenever youd like, no repainting, and no damaged walls. Furthermore, most online retailers, such as Wall Stamps, let you choose from either pre-designed lettering kits, or allow you to create your own custom lettering with your choice of the saying, size, font, and color.

Another popular way to utilize the vinyl in your home dcor is your childrens bedrooms, nurseries, and play areas. With fun shapes and graphics available in a number of colors, shapes, and sizes, there is virtually NO LIMIT to what you can create. Easily decorate a nursery by having wall lettering created to create a border with a favorite childrens song, or put a large tree on the wall of your childs room. Your options are truly endless because of all the custom options available. If you can imagine it, you can create it with Wall Stamps.

One common concern that we often hear when helping someone with designing a room, is that they are renting, so they don't want to spend money on something they'll have to remove, or leave behind when they move. The perfect solution for this is to create a home dcor sign. The vinyl lettering found at Wall Stamps is perfect for creating decorative signs for your home. Unlike the wall lettering, decorative signs can be taken with you wherever you go, and the make the perfect wedding gift as well.

Along the same lines as decorative signs, decorative tiles are also another great way to use wall stamps vinyl lettering to create custom home dcor. Decorative tiles are simply ceramic tiles that have vinyl lettering applied to them, usually with a favorite quote, and is thus transformed into a beautiful custom dcor plaque. These decorative tiles really add a lot of charm to entry way tables, kitchen counters, fireplace mantles, or dressers. Decorative tiles, like decorative signs, also make great wedding gifts, which are truly unique, and unlike any other gift the bride and groom are likely to receive. The tiles can even be customized to show a wedding date, etc.

These are just a few of the most common ways that people use vinyl in home dcor, but in reality, the opportunities are endless. Literally, if you can imagine it, you can create it with vinyl, and for a price that is much less than you might expect.

Why Take a Vacation at Cap d'Agde

By Jeremy Fishbourne

A fascinating mix of attractions awaits visitors of Cap d'Agde: the natural setting of land and sea, rich heritage, modern convenience and amenities.

Whether you want to enjoy the sun, indulge in some outdoor or water sports, Cap d'Agde has the right attractions for a memorable vacation. If you are going as a family or just a couple, the resort would be a delightful destination, as it is very accessible and ideal for both a short break and a long stay.

Cap d'Agde visitors will enjoy the variety of activities in the resort, for this is a place with four destinations to enjoy, unlike other tourist spots confined to only one attraction. Le Cap d'Agde, for one, boasts a modern beach resort suitable for all members of the family.

Likewise within easy reach of the resort is the historic city of Agde, whose roots can be traced back 2600 years ago, the picture-perfect fishing village of Grau d'Agde, and the tranquil village of La Tamarissiere nestled in a pine forest.

The resort complex for some visitors may just be enough. Already the resort has 11 beaches to choose from, as well as 10 districts all worth a visit. There's the Le Port with its pulsating bars, shops and quayside.

But aside from this lively social centre, they can likewise opt to explore nine small suburban districts each with its own character and amenities. Visitors can relish the thought that even if they are at a centre of a bustling tourist enclave, they can easily retire to some secluded hideaway.

The choice is, likewise, large for tourist accommodations. There are hotels, apartments, holiday villas, and campsites available. A central booking office run by the Cap d'Agde Tourist office makes lodging inquiries easy and booking accommodations convenient. An even better alternative is to access the d'Agde website which contains user-friendly accommodation guides for the ideal lodging places.

Despite its modernity, Cap d'Agde has found a treasure in having its link with the 2600-year old city of Agde. Replete in heritage and history, Agde started out as a Greek colony during the 5th century, flourishing with its strategic location where the Herault River and Canal du Midi opens to the Mediterranean Sea.

Mount Saint Loup, an extinct volcano, also helped shape Agde as many old structures in the city were constructed from its black volcanic rock.

This you can see in the old city centre which, aside from the architectural curiosity, also hosts artisan shops in its winding streets. It would be ideal for you to visit the city centre on a Thursday as it is the day when a local market opens to sell local wares and crafts.

Many restaurants and bars are also just a few steps away for those tourists captured by the charm of a stroll along the Canal du Midi. The heritage page of the city's website offers more information about such attractions that only Agde could provide.

The small fishing village of Grau d'Agde is a logical next stop for visitors, for it is close both to the old city of Agde and the Cap d'Agde resort. The village is situated on the left bank of the River Haut where it joins the Mediterranean.

At the mouth of the waterway flowing to the Mediterranean, the village is home to a resort with quiet accommodation, a beach for guests and a quay lined with small bars and restaurants. During peak season, visitors can take a ferry from this village and head for yet another enchanting destination, La Tamarissiere.

La Tamarissiere is a small fishing village where you can find the peace and quiet characteristic of communities which flourish in synch with nature. The village is located between the beach and the river and is surrounded by a pine forest which is already 200 years old.

At La Tamarissiere, you can go boating, fishing, wind surfing and sailing, as well as camping to relish all that nature has to offer.

By George C.Baycan

Classic jewelry and fashion designs never go out of style, and sometimes looking back into the past provides new ideas for the future. Engagement rings that incorporate diamond cuts, band styles and overall ring designs from the past are increasing in popularity with young couples all over the world.

One of the most obvious ways in which engagement rings can differ with regards to classic or modern styles is in the cut of the diamond or diamonds on the ring itself. Some cuts such as the round solitaire, the princess or the emerald cut are more traditional and classic. The cushion cut diamond is a very traditional cut that has resurfaced as a popular solitaire style cut.

Unusually shaped diamonds in engagement rings, especially those featuring diamond flowers or hearts are in demand. These diamond shapes are not brand new but they are rare, even today. A triangle shape is also a rare shape diamond that can be an outstanding choice for a solitaire ring for the right person.

However, many people are just as interesting in returning to the more tried and true styles of engagement rings. Antique engagement rings may be literally estate type jewelry, or they can be modern recreations of old classics. Deciding if a modern or antique style is best is really related to personal taste, but it is important to take a look.

Art deco is one of the more unique styles of engagement rings from the past. Much more free style in design, these rings were and still are on the cutting edge of jewelry design. Groupings of stones or unique individual diamond shapes figure heavily in this style of jewelry.

Additional details to the engagement rings of the past often are the main way they differ from modern styles. Filigree, detailed flower shapes or even intricate repetitive patterns are used to accentuate and focus attention in on the diamonds. Metals used were traditionally gold, white gold, silver or platinum both for the bands as well as the details.

To wear as a matching set or as a stand alone option for wedding rings, Victorian style rings are really back in style. These rings are classic in their designs and feature lots of options as engagement rings or combination wedding and engagement rings all in one.

Looking through the new versions of classic styles for engagement rings is a great option to find that perfect engagement ring. You may wish to consider different metals or newer cuts of diamonds to further enhance the beauty of these traditional engagement rings.
