A platform wheelchair lift will help you get around, even if it's hard due to sore legs, amputation, injury, or other health problems.

If you need a platform wheelchair lift, you must know that there are many features that you need to consider. In other words, all wheel chair lifts aren't created equal. Each wheelchair lift model has its pros and cons, and choosing the right lift can make a large difference in your life. There are four basic lift models, but in this article, we may target the platform wheel chair lift.

The collapsable wheelchair lift is one of the most common of all wheelchair lifts because it's been around the longest. It operates with a frame that operates the lift, which is mounted on the inside of the van. Though some makers are now making the lifts so they can be mounted on the outside the truck.

When you need to get in or out of the truck, the wheelchair lift unfolds and lowers to the ground, permitting the wheelchair to be moved in or out. The drawback to this kind of wheel chair lift is that the entrance to the wagon door will be blocked when the chair lift isn't in use. But lately, many manufacturers have begun to enhance on these sorts of platform lifts for chairs with wheels.

One way that they are improving the lifts is to split the chair lift, and include a small slit between them. This will allow the van passengers to climb out and in with ease. Additionally, this will permit you to save some time when using the wheeled chair lift because your passengers will not have to unfold the lift each time they want to get in or out of the truck.

So, if you are searching for a good lift for your wheeled chair, a platform wheel chair lift could be just the proper tool to make getting out and in of van easier.

It has been said that Chevy owners are so confident of the durability of their trucks, that their Chevy truck would be a perfect inheritance for future generations to come. This Chevy truck is packed with excellent features such as plush seats, power steering, and a huge towing capacity. Silverado's powerful 6.6L V8Turbo diesel with a six-speed automatic transmission can take on any rough roads or terrain while also providing a smooth highway drive. For guys who love sporty vehicles, you can't beat the versatility of the Chevy Avalanche. What sportier truck enthusiasts love about it is that it is so flexible. Most obvious is the innovative system to make the truck bed longer. What happens is that the rear seats fold down, rear glass removes, and the midgate system drops down. Essentially it turns it from a crew cab short bed to a two door long bed pickup. After the midgate is folded down, you could even use the rear bed as a comfortable sleeping quarter if necessary. Outdoor enthusiasts really love the sporty flexibility of this midgate feature. Mountaineers will love it, because they can put two tents in the truck bed without having to pitch a base camp tent.

Environmentally conscious truck drivers will love to have a fuel-saving truck that can also same performance. It helps that now you can find the Chevy's mid-sized truck running on a smaller 3. 5L I5 engine. Surprisingly enough, this particular truck was designed with the help of Isuzu automobile engineers. The truck sports a lot of great features that makes for a comfortable ride.

Trucks usually haul cargo in long trips so Chevrolet also made entertainment and information connectivity a top priority for new truck owners. Equipped with CD/MP3 entertainment and state-of-the-art Radio Data System compatible radio systems, Chevy outdoes itself. Avalanches now have a navigation radio built in.

GM actually now uses a new technology that can save on gas. It is called the Active Fuel Management system. This innovative technology switches the engine from 8 cylinder to a more fuel efficient 4 cylinder mode for times when there is not much need for lots of power. The truck's on-board computer does everything automatically as you drive to switch between the modes.

Chevrolet let the world know that it was dedicated to changing the status quo when it came to environmental issues and their trucks. They incorporated the latest E85 ethanol blended fuel technology into their latest truck models. There are many benefits to burning ethanol. Ethanol is much more efficient when it comes to the gases that come out the tailpipe when compared to gasoline made from refined petroleum only. Climate change is becoming an issue that the auto industry can no longer ignore and Chevrolet is truly creating an "American Revolution" in terms of changing the status quo in Detroit.

Chevy trucks these days are tough and environmentally friendly. It doesn't have to be one or the other. If you don't have a reliable truck, check out what Chevy is doing nowadays.
