So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas

Key Things To Keep In Consideration When Building A Modern Office

By Rolly Ruiz

The idea of enhanced and modern office designs has undergone a major change from the times when it was considered just a gimmick. It is now an accepted fact that good office design makes the staff highly productive and inspires them to remain in the company for the long term. Besides the office design also reflects the corporate philosophy of the firm.

Openness, sustainability and flexibility are critical considerations that you should not neglect when constructing a modern office. These objectives cannot be met unless a prudent selection of office interior design and office system furniture for the new setup is made, and for this some key factors need to be taken into consideration.

As the first thing, it is necessary to understand what kind of operations will be carried out inside the office. This along with the total available floor area will decide the kind of design that you can go for. Designing the layout must also include consideration of how many employees will be working in the office currently and in the years to come.

Together with the area for office desks and other office system furniture, you need to allocate space for meeting rooms and cafeterias. Recreational zones, which can be equipped with pool tables or chessboards, are also very essential as the employees can use them to unwind after work. Besides, the office must be planned in a way that ensures maximum space usage without being too crowded.

A sense of minimalism and use of soft and soothing colour schemes that would not divert the attention of the employees are key aspects of a perfect office interior design. The interiors should also have adequate light, so that there is not a single unlit corner in the office.

Modern office system furniture with its chic looks and adaptability to meet employees' needs raises the spirits of the workforce and gives clients a better feel about the company. However, choose only such office desks and other furniture items that are ergonomically designed so that employees' fitness is not endangered.

You can also project an environmentally aware image of your company by opting for 'green' office furniture. It is created from organic fabrics and recycled materials, which will help your company contribute towards ecological conservation. Moreover, you can install LED lights and low-energy bulbs to prevent too much energy consumption and thereby help protect the environment.

It is always a good idea to hire a seasoned office interior designer so that your office manifests all the positive aspects of beauty, utility and safety that are vital for of an ideal office.

Cowboys Beat Falcons Behind Romo's Big Day

By Ross Everett

Dallas Cowboys' quarterback Tony Romo has been plagued by inconsistency over the past two seasons, but on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons he was in top form. Romo threw for 311 yards and 3 touchdowns with no interceptions as Dallas ripped the visiting Falcons by a final score of 37-21. Backup receiver Miles Austin had another solid game in place of injured starter Roy Williams, with 171 yards receiving and two touchdown grabs. Both teams are now 4-2 on the NFL season.

NFL betting enthusiasts who backed Dallas as -5' home favorite were rewarded with a pointspread victory. The Cowboys evened their mark against the NFL pointspread at 3-3, while Atlanta slipped to 4-2 against the number.

In his postgame comments to the media, Romo gave props to the undrafted Austin for making the best of his opportunity:

"He's definitely a big part of this offense. I'm glad to see all his hard work and effort is paying off."

Dallas owner Jerry Jones commended Romo on his big game:

"I think that you've got a wiser and you've got a more experienced Tony Romo than of old, and I think you see he's still got some of that instinctive thing that he can make plays and make winning plays."

The Cowboys' defense pestered the Falcons' Matt Ryan into two interceptions, and 34 year old Keith Brooking was a big part of that. Based on his comments after the game, there may be some 'sour grapes' after he was cut loose by the Falcons after 11 seasons in an Atlanta uniform:

"The last thing I was told by one of the coaches is this is a young man's game. I guess an old man can still play in this league."

Patrick Crayton returned a punt for a touchdown and caught a Romo pass for another. Cowboys' coach Wade Phillips had this praise for him:

"Crayton is the kind of guy you want on your football team. He's going to make plays when he has opportunities."

Losing quarterback Matt Ryan had little to say about the defeat:

"It's frustrating because we feel we can play better."

Atlanta has a difficult road challenge ahead as they travel south to face the red hot New Orleans Saints next Monday night. The Falcons have been installed as +10 road underdogs with the total set at 54. They'll host the struggling Washington Redskins the following Sunday before traveling to Charlotte, NC to face the Carolina Panthers on November 15. Dallas will host the Seattle Seahawks this weekend, with the Cowboys a -9' home favorite and the total set at 45.

UFC 88 Flashback: Evans Dominates 'The Iceman'

By Ross Everett

Rashad Evans was fighting for respect. He didnt scream about demanding respect in his prefight interviews because hes smart enough to know that respect must be earned. He earned it and then some with a devastating 2nd round TKO of Chuck Liddell in the main event of UFC 88: Breakthrough.

If Evans needed any more validation of how little respect he was getting, he could have taken a look at the UFCs text message prediction poll of the main event which favored The Iceman by a whopping 81% to'% margin. Or he could have listened to the UFC announcers, who had all but penciled Liddell in for a return to light heavyweight title contention after his inevitable victory. Instead of complain, Evans let his fists do the talking and with a perfectly placed overhand right will likely never have to worry about a lack of respect again.

From the opening horn, Evans showed no fear of Liddells once legendary power. Instead, he danced and moved (which was dumbly criticized as showboating by the UFC announce team), using his slick footwork and speed to dart in and out of range of Liddells punches.

Evans highlight reel power shot was to come in the 2nd round. Liddell backed Evans up near the cage wall and went to throw an uppercut. Simultaneously, Evans responded with an overhand right that landed quicker, harder and more accurately. The perfectly placed punch knocked Liddell out cold. Evans' KO was one of the most devastating in the history of the sport, and made all the more so by the status of the man on the receiving end.

Rashad Evans raised his record to 17-0-1 with the TKO victory. Liddell, meanwhile, saw his record drop to 21-6"with three of those six losses coming in his last 4 fights.

Liddells loss notwithstanding, it was a good night for UFC veterans as Rich Franklin and Dan Henderson won their fights in impressive fashion. Franklin looked particularly sharp in dismantling tough Matt Hamill, eventually prevailing by 3rd round TKO.

This was the UFCs first trip to Atlanta and despite a good attendance the crowd itself was somewhat disappointing. In a marked contrast to the knowledgeable and enthusiastic fans at the Target Center in Minneapolis for UFC 87"arguably the best MMA crowd ever at a US venue"the live crowd at Phillips Arena often acted as if they were at a taping of Georgia Championship Wrestling.

More problematic was the crowds utter lack of respect for the fighters postfight. Poor Dong Hyun Kim was booed during his postfight interview like he was Professor Toru Takana cutting a heel promo on Mr. Wrestling 2 after winning the Georgia Heavyweight Title by throwing salt in his opponents eyes while the referee was distracted. Not quite the respect that a 4th degree judo black belt whod just won a very tough fight deserves. Even Rashad Evans was booed after his dominating KO victory.

Invest On Upgrading Your Property Today - Make It Easier To Rent Or Sell Tomorrow

By Anthony Brown

We may think that registering intellectual property (IP) ownership rights are a somewhat recent event it is not. Even the Romans stamped bricks to show their sign of ownership. Trademark law is quite ancient dating back to the year 1266 in England. The old law known as the "bakers marking law" used to show the maker of a loaf of bread. Each baker would have their own registered mark.

Trademark law is very well established globally. It is still flouted in some developing nations but that is the joy of the jungle. Most established businesses these days have trademark protection or are in the process of getting protection. Most people think that you have to legally register a mark to be able to use it but the opposite is true. You register a mark so that others cannot use it! When you register a trademark you gain the unique right to be the only one to use the mark or to control who can use it.

A trademark is a specific mark that permits customers to recognize you without seeing your product or service. It is a unique part of your brand. Tests have shown that you can exhibit just part of a well-known trademark and people know which brand it belongs to. This demonstrates the power of a good image and how the brain works atrecalling such things. This is why it is important to legally protect important marks and words.

You do not need to legally record a mark to own it and stop others using it but like most things in the arena of law - the one who holds the papers first wins! Registration legally determines the date of ownership beyond any sense of doubt. In some countries common law gives some protective cover but at the end of the day you have more protection if you engage trademark lawyers to protect important intellectual property.

These days you can self-register a trademark but there are inherent hazards of doing this of course. Trademarks lawyers of course know how to register and how to protect possession if the rights are misused. They know the full story of registration and protection. If you self-register you may get a cheap registration but you may have left a loop-hole for someone to misuse your rights later on.

Registration of trademarks can be done in one or more countries. Presently there is no such thing as a global trademark. You have to register in all the nations where you require protection.

Registration has become simpler over the recent years with the existence of systems like the Madrid System of International Registration of Marks through the World Intellectual Property Organization, Geneva, Switzerland but international registration is still a boring and fairly pricy process.

Of course the benefits of registering a trademark outweigh the costs and challenges. If you are focused about your business you should be looking at IP registration today.
