So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas

How To Use That New Espresso Maker

By Pete Phaedrus

When looking at an espresso machine for the first time it can be a bit intimidating. But you do not need to be a barista to enjoy a great cup of coffee from home. Just follow a few rather simple steps and you will be on your way to delicious home brewed espresso in no time.

The first thing to be done is to examine the outside of the machine. Notice where the steam wand and the brewing pot are, other features too like where to add the water. The wand itself is made of metal and is protruding from the machine somewhere. The brewing pot is latched into place somewhere on the machine as well and usually has some kind of a handle attached to it. All of these features have some way to turn them on and off located near them.

Now that you are familiar with the machine, you can try to make your very first cup of espresso. Screw off the cap on top of the machine and add the desired amount of water. Be careful not to remove the cap after having recently made a drink as it will be filled with steam. This steam could cause severe burns to the face and hands. Take care when adding water not to overfill as this can cause there to be too much pressure inside the machine.

After the water has been added the grounds can be added to the filtering mechanism. Use only espresso grind beans and make sure they are packed firmly into the filter. Remove the excess coffee grinds and then place the filter in its spot. Place a cup into the machine and turn on the brewing switch. It should not be long before fresh espresso begins to flow into the cup.

When the drink has finished brewing take the drink. If steamed milk is desired, pour it into a metal container and place it under the steam wand. Turn it on and slowly stir the milk with he wand as the steam from the brewing process heats the milk. Turn off the switch and add the milk to the drink.

Just remember to be careful when operating an espresso machine. Check for any warnings or indicators that may signal that the machine is still hot. When finished, be sure to turn the switches off and take proper care of the machine. A clean machine is a happy one.

Candle Chandelier Home Lighting

By Flavio Spiztinni

Prior to Thomas Edison inventing electric light many years ago, illumination for homes and other locations was at times provided with a candle chandelier. In fact, candle chandelier fixtures were the first chandeliers used.

When electric light became an option, more options of candle chandeliers became available, that is, the design that used real candles and the design that used simulated candles. In other words, consumers had the option to utilize candle chandelier fixtures that were designed to use real candles or light bulbs that simulated real candles.

Some consumers, for safety reasons, choose to install chandeliers that use electric light bulbs as opposed to utilizing chandeliers that use real candles. Due to the fact that they have children and/or pets in their home, some consumers rather use electric light fixtures, instead of light fixtures that use actual burning candles.

Hanging a candle chandelier in the living space may help homeowners create the environment they would like to create in their home. Choices in design are abundant when shopping for candle chandelier fixtures, including options in finishes, sizes, and styles.

Indeed, a candle chandelier fixture can complement the interior design of the room where the light fixture will be hung. It can also help complement the motif of the entire home, or contribute to an eclectic interior design.

One benefit of installing an electric candle chandelier light fixture is the option to also install a compatible dimmer switch. This option allows homeowners to enjoy different degrees of lighting where the chandelier is hung, given that the lighting may be adjusted.

Given the many design options available with the candle chandelier, homeowners are likely to find a design that will provide them with the style of lighting they desire to illuminate the living spaces of their home.

The Worst Food items You Can Eat!

By Brad Jones

There are so many foods around that, while tasty, are incredibly bad for you. Sure we can identify some of these things-most fast food, for example, while super tasty to eat, wreak havoc on your internal system and add way too many calories to your fat stores. But why don't you consider the foods that look like a perfectly acceptable thing to eat? What about some of those meals that you just feed to your kids? In this article we'll be checking out some of the absolute worst foods that you could ever feed to yourself or other people in your family.

One of the worst type of things on earth, believe it or not is a dish of macaroni and cheese. The type you make at home all on your own using the boxes of Kraft or Annie's should be mostly okay but most of the time the macaroni and cheese you order from restaurants is not. To work with one important example: the macaroni and cheese dinner for kids from the California Pizza Kitchen is incredibly unhealthy. Just a single order of this food contains just about forty grams of saturated fat, over sixteen hundred milligrams of sodium and more than one thousand calories. No component to that is actually nutritious. In cases where you are just like the majority of men and women; then you grasp exactly how vital it is to consume the suitable foods; since ingesting the right diet could help you avoid warts on hands, bladder infection symptoms or even foot warts.

How often do you buy those frozen pot pies from your grocery store's freezer section? These seem like mostly healthful last minute meals but they are really full of calories that you don't need. The pot pies from Stouffer's, for instance, typically contain more than eleven hundred calories, more than sixty grams of fat and almost eighteen hundred milligrams of sodium. If you are trying to shed pounds you could wind up eating all of your daily calories with just this one food item!

You possibly believe that a vegetarian sandwich has to be among the healthiest things you can order from a fast food place, right? The genuine truth of the matter is that, since you will probably putting dressings and other condiments in this sandwich as well, they are usually just as unhealthy as a sandwich packed with meat. When you buy a vegetarian sandwich from Blimpies (as an example), you will be ordering nearly twelve hundred calories, sixty grams of fat and more than thirty five hundred milligrams of sodium. How could that ever be thought of as healthy?

Surely a salad, of all things, needs to be healthful. This is popular idea at any rate. When we are wanting something healthful and easy, we usually look for a salad to help fill us up with food that is good for us. Would you be astonished to discover, then, that there are some salads available that are almost bad for you? TGI Fridays's Santa Fe chopped salad, to work with one example, contains practically eighteen hundred calories. This is most likely because the salad is the size of a big dinner plate but consider it: do you want all of your caloric intake for the day to be used up by this one salad?

The simple fact is that a lot of the foods that we buy while we are on the go or from restaurants is just not as good for us as the food that we cook and prepare for ourselves. We understand that you may not be in love with the notion of preparing food for yourself but the truth is that, particularly when you're trying to lose weight and improve your health, this is the best thing that you can do for yourself.
