So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Which Home Security System is Right for Me?

By Jen Brister

Every homeowner knows that home security is a top priority for the family. Having a great home security system and a proper emergency plan will help your family to feel secure, no matter what neighborhood you live in. Prevention is the key to keeping your family and your home safe.

Owning a home is part of the American Dream. Having your home broken into, however, shatters that dream and leaves you feeling uncomfortable and insecure. Home owners have a responsibility to their families to take precautions to prevent break ins. A home with a home security system is three times less likely to be robbed than a home without a system.

There are many, many choices available when choosing a home alarm security system. Talk with your family about which kind is the best for your home and budget. It is always best to have your home security system installed before you even move into your new home.

Home security options include:

security fences

video surveillance systems

Window alarm

Dead bolt lock

Double lock

motion sensors

Home alarm security systems

driveway alarms

Security Dog

Some people even consider a gun to be an important part of home security.

The costs of security systems has dropped in the last few years, making it easy for any homeowner to purchase one that is right for them. Any average homeowner should be able to get at least some form of security for their homes that is within their budget.

Even after you install your home security system, there are other things you can do around the house to make your family feel safer. Trim back all bushes that are close to windows and doorways so that you will have a proper view of anyone who is approaching your home. Be sure that you actually lock the deadbolts on your doors when you leave the house and when you go to bed each night.

If you absolutely cant afford a security system before moving into your home, consider purchasing several motion sensor lights. They are available at almost any department store for under $20.00 and are easy to install. Place one at your front door, back door and near your driveway for maximum security. Test them out to make sure that they work properly.

Always check online for reviews of any home security systems that you are considering purchasing. Read what others have to say about the product before you make your final decision.
