So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas

How Chevy Made Their Mark in the Muscle Car World.

By Jerry Strong

Chevrolet was not to be out done when it came to putting powerful muscle cars on the streets. During the classic muscle car era between 1960 and 1972, Chevy entered two powerful cars into the muscle car arena that became premier vehicles of choice for many muscle car enthusiasts. Those two cars were the Chevy Camaro and the Impala.

Unlike a racing car, a muscle car is made for the road. The powerful engine combined with the sleek look is designed to dominate the street scene and look great doing it too.

Every car maker had a plan to get a piece of the exploding muscle car craze. It was when in 1966 Chevy introduced the Camaro, it for essentially, conquered the market.

The Chevrolet take on the Camaro was fully prepared to give the similar muscle cars from their competition quite a run for their money. While the Ford Mustang Camaro and the Pontiac Firebird were serious muscle car models, the Chevy Camaro was totally capable of stealing their thunder.

The Chevy Impala exploded onto the muscle car world a little earlier and from the get go on out, it was a car that set the standard for quality design at any expense. It is no wonder that it became one of the most desired vehicles to own when muscle cars ruled the roads.

While many muscle cars seemed to brag on being stripped down power vehicles with few frills, the Impala was able to put anything on the road to the test and deliver luxury to its owners to boot. That made it a powerful temptation for anyone with some muscle car money to spend.

Both the Impala and the Camaro has continued to be popular with each new generation of muscle car buyers. While the Impala stopped production in 1996, it did not take long for GM to see the need to bring it back in 2000 to a population of muscle car lovers who were eager to enjoy the design of this outstanding muscle car again.

It was the same story with how the Chevy Camaro has continued to hold on to strong popularity. The Camaro has become a classic case of luxury and power in one amazing car. It was abundantly clear that Chevrolet was gearing up to make a statement to the muscle car world from the get go and they clearly are not going to yield that dominance any time soon.
