So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas

How To Avoid An Auto Repair Scam

By Jeff G Foster

It's a catch-22 situation it would seem, when it comes down to getting your vehicle repaired. On the one hand, your car needs to be serviced, because parts break down and because the vehicle needs maintaining. On the other hand, auto body shops are notoriously crooked. It's a shame, because there are plenty of honest repair shops that will go the extra mile to make sure that their customers are happy, satisfied, and that the repairs are being done right. But for every honest repair shop, there are 5 dishonest repair shops that have no problem with inflating the cost of repairs, inventing problems that don't exist, or treating you and your business shabby, and with disrespect. A vehicle owner has to be extra diligent when they are seeking to get their vehicle repaired. The problem is that this can be a challenge when your car needs repairing, and you feel anxious and vulnerable. This is why you need some tips as to how to avoid an auto repair scam.

As a car owner, you should exercise extreme care while seeking to hand over your car to an auto repairer. You shall make sure that the garage owner has got valid licenses for repairing from an appropriate authority. His expertise and track record in the field of car repairing should be thoroughly researched. Just because he has repaired his friends' or relatives' cars, he does not become competent enough to repair your car.

When you are confused, not knowing whom to take your cars to for repair, do not hesitate to seek the advice of your friends and family. Probably, they can direct you to a trustworthy, competent repair shop that is giving them proficient and reliable service at reasonable prices. So next time somebody close to you, mentions about his favorite auto repair shop, pay a visit and find out for yourself if that's the right place for your car.

Before handing your car over to an auto workshop, make sure that they are a certified and authorized service center. If they hesitate to show the certification or authorization letter, it means they are not experienced. Leave immediately, because if they were a authorized service center then they would be more than happy to show you their certifications and authorization letters. Also check their facilities for cleanliness on the service workshop if it is not neat and clean means they are just not caring about the welfare of their customers so leave the service shop.

If the repair shop doesn't have a waiting lounge, look to see how many cars are in queue waiting for service. What is the turn-around time that you can expect reasonable service? Can they give you an honest estimate? Will they be willing to show you the repairs that need to take place? They should be able to answer all of these questions. They should also be using the most advanced tools for your repairs.

If you follow these guidelines, you will find an acceptable workshop to bring your car for repairs. If you don't feel comfortable, please leave the workshop and look for somewhere else.
