So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas

Defensive Driving - Keep That Future Accident From Happening

By Jake P Gameranger

When you're driving your car or truck you need to practice defensive driving. The first thing to bear in mind about being a defensive driver is to be constantly ready for something to go wrong. Foresee what is taking place all around you. If you are looking at everything on the road, you can ordinarily sense when someone is going to pull in front of you. Being aware of your surroundings and other drivers' probable moves can up your chances of getting home without any problems.

Your automobile needs to be adequately prepared before you start any journey. It is advisable to be certain that your tires hold the correct pressure, that your oil and water quantities are right, that your lights and mirrors are okay, and that your gas tank is full. Look at your spare tire being sure that it is complete with air and that you have all the equipment you need should have to change a flat. Improve your safety when you are on the road by being noticed by other motorists. If other drivers can see your car, they aren't as likely to collide with you.

Be aware once you move into another vehicle's blind spot because the driver may not be able to see you and thus try to pull over into your lane. You'll also want to be aware of your own blind spots. Obviously, you should utilize your lights anytime it is dark ,but it's not a bad idea to keep them on all the time. If you're attentive, you will notice other drivers begin to turn on their lights when it becomes dark outside. You also want to be very careful to give ample room between your car and other vehicles. The greater your reaction time the better likelihood that you can handle unanticipated events while you are driving.

In case you are following far too closely, it doesn't take more than a split second to be in an accident. It is best to keep farther in back of the vehicle in front of you, but keep an eye out for cars that may try to squeeze in between. Don't forget to slow down and pay better attention when driving conditions are poor quality. Just keep in mind that the majority of the other drivers won't be using defensive driving strategies. The final defensive driving pointer is to stay calm at all times. If you see a car being driven erratically, such as quickly moving, and slowing down and weaving in and out of traffic, stay out of its way.

By no means take any behavior that might anger this sort of driver. Reduce speed and permit them to proceed. In some cases it can be a wise decision to go to the shoulder and wait until they have moved on. There are lots of little things to be carrying out to drive defensively. You can even locate courses which teach you exactly what you need to do. When you feel the call for you to pursue this further, you can look up defensive driving advice on the Internet.
