So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Helpful Tips So You Can Create a Baby Skin Care Routine

By Chris Tucker

If you haven't ever cared for a newborn before, your baby's skin care can be intimidating. As a new parent it is easy to become overwhelmed with trying to be perfect. The good news is that baby skin care is a lot easier than most new parents think it is.

You only need a few products. If you want to learn how to develop a skin care routine for your new baby, keep reading!

Whether or not you are ready to believe it, newborns don't need to be bathed every night. Most infants don't get very dirty early on in life. This is because they are mostly immobile and depend on their parents to get them from point A to point B. Because they are immobile, a baby's parents are easily able to control what a baby can get into.

Test the baby's bath water before you set him in it. Baby skin is easily burned by warm water! In fact, it isn't until people get older that they start to think highly of hot showers and baths.

This will keep away diaper rashes and yeast problems. You want to wash your baby's clothing, new toys and bedding in gentle detergent that is hypoallergenic. Doing this helps cut down on the risk that the new clothes, toys or bedding will irritate your baby's skin.

Put your elbow into the water to see if the bath is too hot for your baby. Your elbow has very sensitive skin so if the water is too hot or cold for your elbow you need to adjust the temperature of the water. At most your baby's bathwater should be lukewarm. This will keep you from accidentally burning your baby or cooling him off too much.

Acne is a skin problem that many people don't know can inflict their baby. The acne formation starts before the baby is even born - the mothers hormones are the root cause. It's really simple, some babies will produce more oil in their skin which in turn will clog their pores. You are never to let your baby's skin come into contact with any adult acne clearer!

Covering your baby's head with a hat and shading the two of you with an umbrella are extra precautions you can take. A cool, damp and soft cloth can be used to treat a sunburn that still manages to develop. Cleanliness is the main contributor to skin care.

You have a lot of options to choose from to help you protect your child's skin. Don't forget that good skin care should start early in life so you should make sure that you develop a regular skin care routine as soon as possible. Remember, proper baby skin care involves taking care of the baby's whole body, not just her (or his) face.
