So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

The View From The Top At A Rooftop Restaurant NYC

By Ora Scott

Natives and tourists alike flock to some of New York City's highest and trendiest restaurants for a view of the great city beneath. That's right - some of this city's finest dining experiences come all the way up on the towering top floor. Sure, many boast a price tag to match. Still, finding a great rooftop restaurant NYC transforms your time in the big city.

Don't believe it when you hear that these hot spots are centralized in one neighborhood of this city. It's just not true. Wherever you live, wherever you're staying, restaurants on the top floor are nearby. There's no difference if you're in the Upper West Side or the Flatiron District or anywhere in between. You'll find a great place to dine with a view.

Some of the best locations are sitting atop a New York City museum. Envision a day taking in the artifacts and paintings topped off with a delicious meal from the top. Two great restaurants for this day are the Robert Restaurant at the Museum of Art and Design and the Met Roof Garden Cafe and Martini Bar at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Restaurants crowning a hotel are another sure bet in the city. If you're staying in the Big Apple, see if your hotel has a place on the roof. Whether or not you're a local, you'll always want to check out a specific spot's policy--many hotels' top locations are only open to guests.

If you don't want a heavy meal but are still looking for the experience, another option to witness the city from the top is from a top floor bar. Just like the similar restaurants, bars at the top floor come all around the city. And many bars and restaurants come together so you don't even have to decide.

It's irrelevant if you've lived in the Big Apple since birth or if you're only stopping by for a week or two. Dining at a rooftop restaurant is a fantastic way to look at the city from a whole new height. rooftop restaurant nyc
