So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas

How A Car Maintenance Schedule Can Extend The Life Of Your Car

By Douglas I. Moylan

A car maintenance schedule should be planned in advance and stuck to for the sake of the vehicle. Repeated servicing and quality checks will be the trick to a well-performing and long lasting car or truck. In addition to this, the person operating the vehicle will find themselves being more relaxed behind the wheel as they will be more confident that the car will not break down on them.

There are certain elements that should be thought about when setting up a car maintenance schedule. Because the wheels are the only connection of the car to the road, it is imperative to keep an eye on them and make sure they do not deteriorate. All elements of the tire should be inspected, from the inflation to the depth of the groove in the rubber that will denote how much grip there is. They should not be ignored, especially before a lengthy drive, and it is recommended to measure the pressures regularly to avoid flats or punctures.

Another common piece of maintenance for a car is the oil. Because this part is accountable for getting the engine working as necessary, it should be carefully observed. It is a basic job that can normally be done by opening the hood and lifting a stick that will show the levels. This needs to be another crucial step on the car maintenance log. Not only can a car lose performance when the oil is low, but the engine can in fact seize up and fail permanently without the right care. Most car manuals will state the right amount of miles to drive before changing the oil.

Although oil changes, air and pressure gauges, windscreen fluid and other parts of the car maintenance routine in Provo cost money, they are far cheaper than a breakdown. Damages to the engine can be permanent, and are not normally paid for by the insurance. What might be a hundred dollars of basic care over the year will almost certainly be thousands in repairs for a one-time fix. A breakdown will require a tow truck, overnight repairs, weeks of waiting for spare parts and the worry of finding other transport, while prevention takes just a few minutes a week.

Not everyone has extra hours in their week, which is why paying someone else to take care of it can sometimes be the better option. For these people, a garage can look over the car and make all the necessary changes and top-ups to relieve the driver of these requirements. There are a plethora of reasons why this is a worthwhile choice, namely for cost, time and reassurance purposes. One thing to understand is that level of workmanship comes with training, and a good mechanic should be carefully scrutinized first.
