So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Shopping For Picture Frames

By Eli Williams

I:0:J There are several factors to consider when picking out a picture frame, but the first consideration, and usually the most obvious, is what size to get. This might seem like a no brainer, but you should really know what sizes are available before you make your decision. Who knows, maybe you'll want a bigger frame to frame it with a matte.

Measurements for standard frame sizes in the US are indicated in inches. The sizes are represented in terms of the length and width. There are several sizes available on the market or you can get a custom made size for abnormal sized prints. Getting a custom made size is usually more expensive than standard sized frames.

Big events such as weddings, oil paintings, art prints and beveled mirrors usually look best in a larger picture frame. These are gold or often silver ornate frameworks with ornamental finish. These also come in standard frame sizes. These frames are larger and made from additional long lasting materials and are typically a lot more money.

Before picking the size of the frame, you'll need to consider where it will be placed. For instance, some photos or pictures are hung on a wall alone, while others are hung with others. If you need a bigger frame, you can always matte the picture to adjust for the size.

If you want the picture to take up as little room as possible, you'll need to get the smallest sized frame as possible. You might want to pick a larger sized frame if you're going to hang it on a wall, or a smaller sized frame if it's going to sit on a desk.

As for electronic picture frames, it's good to know that there are standard frame sizes. The sizes of these frames are shown in terms of screen sizes. The technology behind these frames are constantly changing and you'll need to research or shop around before you buy your digital frame.
