So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

The Kobo vs. Kindle Debacle,

By Sebastian Cork

As you decide to buy a new e-reader for your reading hobbies, you will instantly realize that doing so actually means that you also have to look at several factors so as to get the utmost satisfaction you want from the device. Put in mind that an e-reader is pretty much like other technological devices you have come to consider as a necessity such as computers and mobile phones. Although an e-reader does not have the same kind of impact among mainstream gadget lovers, it's rapidly becoming an important piece for those who love to read books.

That's why if you are indeed an avid reader of e-books, you must be familiar or at least have heard about the issue of Kobo vs Kindle. It's that kind of advertising battle between two leading devices in terms of which of them is really the best one. So far, these two are the most popular e-readers around and that are supported by the fact that gadget stores will almost likely have these two on displays. The main reason why the Kobo and Kindle are bestsellers is because they have captured the satisfaction of consumers who seek to get a device that gives them the most fun and valuable experience in e-reading. So without much ado, here's a look at what these two can offer and some brief comparison as well:

Amazon's Kindle device is no doubt the most popular and best-selling e-reading tablet device today. When we say it's the most popular, what we mean is that it has built a very big lead against its competing devices and brands in terms of total number of sales. The main reason is that the Kindle is the first of its kind. It is a tablet that has been optimized for electronic book reading. But then again, its reign as king is threatened by the unveiling of another device that seems to be designed to directly offer consumers a practical and cheaper alternative to the Kindle. The name of this new e-reader is Kobo.

Now Kobo can be considered as a practical alternative price wise. It's really cheaper and what makes it remarkable is that it does not take away the kind of quality present in the Kindle. So in the battle of Kobo vs Kindle, the former may actually win when the criteria is affordability. But then again, in choosing an e-reader, the price isn't the only thing to consider.

Yes, the price is a big factor. And when it comes the most important one, a shopper would normally go for the cheaper and inexpensive one, which in this case is the Kobo. The Amazon Kindle on the other hand naturally comes more expensive but the makers boast the fact that it can store more books inside than the Kobo.

In the end though, any price tag would be negated if you are someone who really values quality. It does not mean that the cheaper product has lower quality but there's always a great possibility that the e-reader with better specs, features, and material built will be a lot more expensive.
