So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Duracell Powerpacks

By Ray Hauser

Power outages and emergency power situations can arise at almost any time. Storms, earthquakes and other traumatic events can disrupt utility power causing havoc and inconvenience. Having portable, backup power can often mean the difference between a cold, dark house with no lights, heat or refrigeration and riding out the disaster with a few basic necessities.

Portable, backup power generators can help you survive the difficult conditions arising from a general utility outage. They're also great for outdoor events, camping trips, off-site construction and roadside emergencies. Having recourse to a reliable source of backup power can provide a sense of security and satisfaction.

Duracell Powerpacks were designed and engineered with these crucial needs and desires in mind. They can supply instant power at a moment's notice whenever it's required. Powerpacks can supply electricity to AC, DC and USB devices including TV's, radios, cell phones, computers, lights etc. These systems are so powerful they can even jump-start an automobile on a frosty morning.

The secret to the Powerpack is its power source. They utilize a sealed, rechargeable AGM (Absorption Glass Mat) battery to store energy. These batteries are easily recharged from a standard AC wall outlet or a DC source such as a cigarette lighter. Powerpacks can also be recharged with solar panels.

And since Powerpacks don't burn fuel, there are no toxic exhaust gases to deal with. These systems may be used safely indoors without risk of any hazards which is a nice advantage.

Powerpacks are also compact and lightweight. They're easy to move and setup. They fit comfortably in the trunk of a car or at the bottom of a closet. They're also wonderful companions to standby and portable generators.

Powerpacks come in three models including the Powerpack 600, the Powerpack 450 and the Powerpack 300. Each model has its own unique features and capabilities designed to meet various needs. These units have multiple outlets which can supply both AC and DC power to a number of different devices all at the same time.

The Powerpack 300 supplies three hundred watts of power and is capable of jump-starting a four cylinder engine. The Powerpack 450 provides four hundred and fifty watts of power and is able to jump-start four and six cylinder engines. The Powerpack 600 generates six hundred watts of power and is powerful enough to start an eight cylinder engine.

Powerpacks also have built-in safeguards such as overload and polarity safety detection to prevent charging, if the jumper cables are improperly connected to the wrong battery terminals. The Duracell Powerpack line of emergency, backup power systems is a truly amazing and useful piece of engineering technology.
