So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Smart Tricks For Hiding Valuable From Burglars

By Mark Mahaffey

Are you eager to keep your valuable items protected if a robber gets into your house? If so, then you are probably interested in learning more about the smartest ways to hide your valuables from him. The good news is that there are lots of things you can to do make a crooks job hard!

It is a good idea to hide your valuables, but choosing the hiding places is so important! There are many places that you should not hide them. Even if you think you are being sneaky and learning great hiding spots from an article on the Internet, chances are the crook has read that article too!

You will want to refrain from using places like the following to store your treasures: the deep freeze, the toilet, the pantry and the kitty litter box. Remember, if you have read that these places are good hiding places, the robber probably have as well! After all, it is his job to know things like this.

Your best strategy is to choose areas different from the ones mentioned above. The secret to successfully hiding your valuables from crooks is to be as creative as possible. For example, do you have a shed in your backyard? If so, consider having a false floor built on top of the current floor. You can then hide your valuables under the false floor.

Your mattress is another hiding place. But do not hide things under the mattress; crooks know to look there. Rather, cut a hole in the side or on one end (the end nearest the head of the bed is best) and put your treasures inside. Then, simply sew up the hole. It is not likely that a robber will discover this hiding place!

You may not want to take the time to think through your hiding places as much as is necessary to effectively prevent a burglar from finding them. But you will be glad you did in the long run, because it may make the difference between having your items stolen and having them remain safely hidden.
