This porch lighting unit is much more responsive to motion and brighter than the Maxxima. When the wind is extremely high, then the leaves, brush or whatever appears to be triggering the light. Cannot beat it for the price and it illuminates the 3 doors to the apartment entrance. I walked into the backyard last nite, needed to get within five feet. It worked good from the get-go. The sunshine and motion sensors still work well. These were purchased for outdoors, as the merchandise says you can use it. I would recommend placing your BQ lighting under your roof eaves to ensure that they're out of direct rain.
I have it just in the walk-in garage door. I am happy with the Fulcrum Movement Sensor LED Porch Light. This light turns on the moment we open the home door and lights the double car garage until we get to the vehicles. It's well worth the cash. It features a standard porch light on the switched circuit, controlled with a timer. Can only use the item as a torchlight now by switching to on mode.
Its main limitation is the location of the sensor, but that may be overcome in many installations. Was amazed to find this light was bright and that the movement sensor covered this type of broad area.
The fixture and spotlight rotate independently which makes it simple to aim the light where you require it.
I must get that information from the item description. In my experience, it looks like the gasket is most likely adequate to keep out most moisture so long as the hatch is screwed in all the way, nice and tight. That's not the problem, and it's not so practical. Now I am feeling just a little silly, but will keep the lights anyway, perhaps they expected me to keep them anyway!
The discount outdoor lighting stays on for around thirty seconds if it does not sense any movement. I purchased two and will buy a couple more. I consider this item ineffective for a standard home setting. Motion activated from 30+ feet away on my small porch.
It was able to sense somebody walking from a couple of feet away. I'm going to be purchasing a few more personally for the lawn and placement near the circuit main panel in the cellar.

I recommend these deck post lighting units. The battery compartment feels fairly tight on these outside lights for house use.
