The outside lights for house are effective, seem to switch on and off in excellent timing. It holds its own for twenty five bucks.
There are no choices for setting amount of light on this solar lamp post.
We now have them on a stair case. A lot better than any "tap" light I've tried (I've tried a great deal) in terms of Both high quality of light, and also the automated motion sensing of this unit. We picked up this Fulcrum "Light-It" porch light based on the suggestion of a buddy. I checked out a lot of different solar patio lights in stores and online. Occasionally I pop into the closet and the light activates and other times it does not. This 10-LED light is ideal.
These units have certainly helped to reduce my wattage use since the spare bathroom has four forty watt spherical bulbs that work as described, includes a fairly good range for sensing motion.
You will find three positions, OFF, ON for motion, and ON continuously. I got these for use mounted in my pantry closet, so I will most likely use some velcro.
The sensor on this light is too sensitive for anyplace apart from your basement. Fantastic day/night switch, adjustable, and has about a 20 foot range for the movement sensor. The second was a lightbulb-shaped Krypton bulb that was too heavy to stay in its warm furnace blue mounting and finally broke from repeatedly falling to the flooring. You will find much better choices out there. Overall, they light the little area well enough. I purchased two and will buy a couple more.
Was amazed to find this light was bright and that the movement sensor covered this type of broad area.
Based on the amount of light given off I've got a hard time recommending this for anything apart from giving some light to a dark hallway or stairway where you only need enough light to keep you from tripping over things at night time.
The lamp by itself slips into a fixture molded onto the middle of the base, so the entire lamp can rotate 360 degrees on the foundation plate.
For the cost its a good buy. One at first and then nine more simply because I've got a lot of dark areas in my home and rooms where the light switch is on the incorrect end of the space. Instantly activates when you approach leaving both hands free to unlock the doorway. When I was doing this, I found out it was the poor soldering work which made the small shield fell off. After thirty days you've lost your hard earned money. The third one is still in the box as I'm not sure where to put it.

About the Author:
I ordered a couple of these solar lamp posts and only one worked in the movement detection mode. To date, these solar walkway lights have done precisely what I wanted and I've even ordered 3 more for other locations.
