The journey down the hall continues to be turn on a light or carry a flashlight for part of the way. When it does come on it's not nearly bright enough to light my little closet. Put anyplace and long battery life. I've had it a few weeks now and it may well be a little dimmer so I will watch and find out how battery consumption is but overall happy and so are my neighbors. Repeated it once more and it worked. You can effortlessly use your own mounting hardware as well. To mount the lights horizontally, facing down was a problem. It is actually a "flood light" because it does not have the pinpoint beams of light you'd usually expect from an LED.
Forget about stumbling in the dark! I have grandkids up and down the steps constantly, thought the batteries would need to be changed, however they last a long time. This unit has stopped working totally after a few months.
I simply turn mine facing the wall during the day in order to save batteries. Our contractor didn't put a switch at the opposite end and we had been always in the dark while strolling to the door opener. I needed light at the rear of my backyard for when I take my canines out at night. The movement sensor can be sensitive even at a further distance (with my case, about 11-12 feet). I'm sending it back for a refund. They do suggest lithium batteries if you are planning to submit them to sub-zero temps, so I guess I want those as well! I might have gotten a defective one however I couldn't get the sensitivity adjusted so that it didn't go on and off all night The product is just what I ordered. All attempts to get it to operate properly failed. For plug in movement sensor the GE 50723 light is awesome - particularly with the Crane LED bulb!
These solar spot lights are fantastic, no wiring and plenty of light when you go out or have somebody arrive. The light activates everytime it senses motion and the blue-white light is so awesome. Worked acceptable for forty days, then is started staying on one hundred percent of time.

At night, it's not hard to fit the keys into locks properly, the very first time, but for safety, no prowler will get bathed in an unexpected flash of light. This light is my second try to add light to some dark pantry and closet. When doorways are opened they kick on. The critiques that mentioned water getting into the housing didn't turn me off, I'm resourceful and felt I would be able to repair this myself.

I'm sending it back for a refund. This is actually the first motion sensor I've bought and so far it has been fantastic. outside lights for house. If you do not know Hammacher, they pride themselves on their lifetime return coverage. I really like this light! PORCH LANTERNS.
