So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Fantastic Festive Films and Disneyland Paris

By Steve Alexander

A Disney Christmas movie is one sure way to ensure that festive cheer lights up your home. Stepping beyond the firelight, the sofa and the Christmas tree you can set your sights on Disneyland Paris where many of the delights of the entertainment brand come to life.

Throughout the centuries, Charles Dickens was the father of many stories that have delighted adults and children, and a few of them were later adapted into Disney classics. Telling the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a cold-hearted, mean-spirited miserable man, A Christmas Carol is one of the most popular.

Scott Calvin is a regular guy who becomes involved in the accidental death of Father Christmas in the 1994 film 'The Santa Claus'. The single father then has to take on the position of Santa Claus and continue his work on Christmas Eve. One of the UK's favourite Christmas movies is 'The Muppet Christmas Carol', with many of The Muppets available to meet at Paris Disneyland. The 1992 musical comedy gently instructs viewers on the beauty of a change of heart.

A musical fantasy film was presented by Walt Disney Pictures in 1993. The plot of 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' was germinated from an original seed planted by director Tim Burton when he worked for Disney in the 1980s as an animator. Good battle evils in this typical Disney tale and a variety of monsters and witches come before the characters in the film.

'Santa Claus the Movie' is another Disney Studios favourite from 1985. The film attempts to explore the meaning of Christmas and the mysteries surrounding Santa Claus. We begin with a peasant woodcutter, his wife, reindeer and elves before we see the legendary toymaker developing across the centuries into the modern-day Santa. That modern day version pops up at Eurodisney Paris every year where he welcomes children into his toy-making workshop for some added Christmas fun.
