So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas

Nissan Rogue: This Crossover SUV Continues to Win Awards

By Casey Copeland

Since its introduction in 2007, the Nissan Rogue has won a wide range of awards from critics, industry experts, and consumer advocacy groups. Perhaps most notably, however, Nissan Rogue owners who love this crossover SUV's style, performance, and design rate this model very highly. This compact SUV, which seats five passengers comfortably, defies easy categorization.

This crossover SUV model has an SUV's higher profile and sports a spirited, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine under the hood that, like many compacts, sips fuel instead of guzzling. The Rogue's compact body size holds a surprisingly roomy, comfortable, and generously-appointed interior. The Rogue's low sticker price implies a sensible economy car, but the lengthy list of standard features, including air conditioning, cruise control, power accessories, and other amenities usually offered as options, suggests a mid-level luxury car costing many thousands of dollars more.

Nissan Rogue Safety Awards

A vehicle's safety rating is one of the biggest concerns for buyers these days, and the Rogue has earned two safety awards from notable American highway safety testing and research organizations. Safety certification can make or break sales for any car, truck, or SUV. These two awards assure prospective owners that the Rogue is structurally sound and designed to protect occupants in an accident. These Nissan Rogue Crossover SUV safety awards include:

2008 IIHS Top Safety Pick Award-The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) only bestows this award upon vehicles that have earned the highest possible rating in all impact categories, including front-, side-, and rear-impact tests. To be considered, a vehicle must also provide head-protective air bags and electronic stability control (a function that assists with handling during sudden braking).

2008 NHTSA 5-Star Highest Side-Impact Safety Rating-The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is a widely respected and impartial organization whose mission is saving lives and preventing vehicular injuries. The Rogue SUV's 5-star rating proves that it has achieved top safety marks in a variety of side-impact tests.

Nissan Rogue Customer Satisfaction Awards

Customer satisfaction awards may be extremely influential for buyers. Customer satisfaction data is compiled by research organizations. These organizations contact owners of various vehicles; track owner satisfaction in an array of broad and specific categories; compile the data, and finally, provide a comprehensive view of what owners really think about a given car, truck, or SUV model. The Nissan Rogue's customer satisfaction awards include:

2008 AutoPacific Vehicle Satisfaction Award for Compact Crossover SUV-In the fiercely competitive small crossover SUV segment of the automotive industry, the AutoPacific survey of Rogue owners found that the Nissan Rogue Crossover SUV scored highest in its class for fuel economy, reliability, durability, exterior styling, safety features, and in the all-important "fun-to-drive" category.

MotorWeek's 2008 "Driver's Choice Award for Best Small Utility Vehicle-For over 25 years, this television magazine series on PBS has tested over 150 different vehicles each year, and has issued annual awards in a variety of categories. Their panel of judges determined that the Nissan Rogue "...delivers a strong balance of practicality, front- or all-wheel drive performance, style, and affordability. Plus, this sharp little crossover is fun to drive, can carry plenty of stuff, and won't beat you up at the gas pump."

Nissan Rogue Automotive Review Award

In a relatively short period of time, Edmunds.com and its affiliate automotive review sites have become some of the most respected sources for vehicle information on the Web. When buyers are weighing the virtues of different vehicles before buying, they turn to Edmunds.com for unbiased, factual, professionally-written vehicle reviews. When Parents magazine wanted authoritative input for their annual vehicle awards, they turned to Edmunds.com, and together they concluded the Nissan Rogue was worthy of:

Parents Magazine's "Best Family Cars for 2008" Award-Based on their criteria for overall vehicle safety and family-friendly features, Parents magazine and Edmunds.com chose the Rogue as one of its Best Family Cars for 2008. The magazine stated, "The brand-new Rogue has two irresistible qualities: a sleek, modern design and a very modest sticker price. And the advanced transmission makes for a quiet ride and quick acceleration, so it's a blast to drive."

For people considering a compact crossover SUV for their next vehicle purchase, awards indicate that the Nissan Rogue Crossover SUV stands out from the competition in a variety of categories important to buyers and dealers alike. Nothing informs and reinforces a purchasing decision better than awards from respected, impartial sources. Given that the Nissan Rogue is only entering its third year of production, there is every reason to expect that the Rogue will continue to win awards for many years to come.
