So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Rolex Watches: Are They Worth The Price?

By Ronald C. Lundy

Rolex are world renowned for introducing the public to amazing watches which are crafted like fine pieces of art. Rolex watches are also famous for being incredibly expensive. An average working class person will never come to own enough money (or a reason) to believably purchase a Rolex. Those who are more fortunate might actually be looking for a nice watch. But at such a cost are they really worth the price?

Rolex is the largest manufacturer of luxury watches in the world. The Swiss brand reportedly mass produces about 60,000 watches a month for sale in its many stores located around the world. The Rolex brand was started by Hans Wilsdorf in 1905. He owned a business in which he made custom watches. Wilsdorf moved his company to Geneva Switzerland and quickly started innovating watches with new inventions and advanced models. Rolex where pioneers in the field and introduced the worlds first watches to feature water proof cases, dust and air proof cases, and even the worlds first self winding watch in 1931. To this day they continue to produce high quality watches at high prices.

Rolex watches are only made with the best material available. These materials are extremely durable passing on the traits to the finished product. The watches are very resistant to damage and can even withstand the immense amounts of pressure change from deep sea diving or flying high above in the atmosphere. These drastic change in atmosphere (more commonly known as cabin pressure when in an air plane) can severely damage low quality watches. While many people will never feel the need to explore the ocean floor in a submarine or fly in anything but commercial airlines these watches can weather the pressure. This amazing feature makes these watches incredibly durable to everyday use.

Rolex watches are very unique. As well as being durable the watches also depict the person wearing them as extremely wealthy. It is no secret that with such a high price tag, that the watches are also extremely fashionable. Not only will the wearer appear to be extremely wealthy but they will also be on the cutting edge of time piece fashion with a Rolex watch.

One of the most obvious reasons most people cannot afford a Rolex watch is due to the price tag. A single can cost as much as a lease on a house. Many people dream of coming into such large amounts of money. Those who can afford such a watch might consider purchasing something more substantial than just a small piece of jewelry.

Another unfortunate inconvenience to owning a Rolex is the vast cost of repairs. The Rolex is comprised of unique pieces and only a person trained specifically Rolex repair can fix a watch. For the price of repair you might as well buy a less expensive Rolex.

Just like any purchase one must weigh the advantages and disadvantages purchasing a Rolex watch might bring. But at such high prices it may be wiser to purchase a rather inexpensive replica watch.

Examining Modern Motor Scooters

By Mike Scott

In the 1920s, most parts of the world were undergoing the changes resulting from the industrial revolution. Countries like Britain, France and the United States had already made giant strides in this field. Other parts of the globe like the Far East were also experiencing an industrial re-awakening of their own. Taiwan is one of these countries. Today, it is one of the leading exporters of manufactured goods to the rest of the world. One of Taiwan's leading contributions to the industrial revolution is the scooter. This was a product of an engineer called Gino Tsai, who worked for the J.D. Corporation.

The first scooters were foot powered. This means they were not motorized. The technology to motorize the scooters actually emerged later. Gino'd motivation was basically to get to work on time. In these early days of the industrial revolution, numerous factories were being created which required labor. Most people in these times lived in the rural areas and had to commute long distances to get to work. Every morning saw long streams of day workers walking to their jobs and back home again. Gino's invention was geared to alleviate this and that is why the scooter became a popular buy.

Today, scooters have revolutionized the way people commute. A cross between a bicycle and a regular motor cycle, today's scooters, while still resembling their earlier counterparts, are motor powered. In many major world cities, the scooters are one of the most major ways of getting around. This is because cars are still too expensive for the average worker and the income per capita is still low. Let us examine the reason behind the buzz that is sweeping the world regarding motor scooters.

Fuel Efficiency The recent global economic crisis has become an item of focus for many people. This has been caused by the high price gasoline. Gasoline is the lifeline of many world economies and this increase in price has caused financial hardship for many. It is no longer uncommon to see people looking for new and innovative ways of saving money especially in the area of commuting. Motor scooters are a sure way to do this. Their fuel efficient nature is one of the best ways of cutting down on the cost of commuting.

Cheap to maintain Scooters are easier to maintain than motor vehicles. It is not a secret that a motor vehicle can easily cost hundreds of dollars to repair when it breaks down. Motor scooters are easy to maintain because their mechanical configuration is simpler. The total sum of its parts is also much less than those of a motor vehicle. This means that workers with a low income and who cannot afford to buy and maintain a car can easily afford a motor scooter.

Convenient Scooters are very convenient. This means that if you live in a city with a traffic problem, a scooter can be ideal especially when it comes to manuevering your way through traffic. That is why cities which experience issues with traffic have a large number of motor scooters.

Stream Online Movies - Watch Stream Online Movies Review

By Chris Jensen

Watching movies from your computer has never been easier with the advent of streaming technology. Basically streaming is watching a movie from your web browser directly instead of having to download a file. There are tons of websites that stream movies and TV shows online, however, it can be a challenge to find websites that stream online movies in high quality formats.

The reason for this is that streaming a video actually takes up bandwidth on the website, and as such, high quality videos will take up more bandwidth than low quality ones. The .divx format is typically used to stream online movies in high quality; however, this format requires a special DivX player to be downloaded.

Many sites that stream online movies offer the movies in standard video formats, such as .avi, .mov, and .mpg. These are your typical video formats that can be found on almost any website that offers movies to be streamed. These standard formats are so common that it can be difficult to find a video that is not one of these formats.

Being able to watch a movie without downloading anything reduces the risk of getting a virus or other malicious piece of software. It also saves hard drive space because downloaded movies tend to take up to multiple gigabytes of storage capacity. Some websites that stream online movies may also put up a download link to allow a person to download the movie to his or her hard drive to watch whenever he or she wants. This is useful for people who use laptops for their entertainment and want to be able to access the movie on the go without an Internet connection.

Websites that stream online movies are a stepping stone to the future. As more and more computers, and people, gain access to the Internet, the popularity of movies that can be streamed online will rise. No longer will people need to go to the theater to watch a movie. Indeed, they can now get on their computers to find and stream the movie that they want to watch.

Can an Automobile Run with Water?

By Brendan Sommers

Over and over I hear people say, "Is it really possible to run your car on water?" I typically have to explain, "Hmm, not exactly." The vehicle will still use gasoline as it's major source of combustion. The goal, and what is going to be accomplished with the water conversion system, is to build a very inexpensive hydrogen powered automobile. This is created by harnessing the power of the sub-atomic pieces of the water molecules oxygen and hydrogen.

It's possible for this technology to work because it uses simple parts that are available at most hardware stores. These parts facilitate the use of power from your auto's battery to break-apart water molecules into HHO gas. From there, the gas is then propelled into the intake of your car / truck, making a more efficient and clean burn for your gas.

What many don't know is that HHO gas is extremely stable and burns very efficiently as an excellent power source. Believe it or not, the conversion has been made really simple due to the conversion manual that has surfaced after years of suppression. This would be a big financial blow to "Big Oil" if the masses found out all at once. As expected though, loads of people have remained skeptical and need valid answers to the questions below.

1) How safe is the water hybrid conversion process? Very safe, as proven consistently by the auto experts. To put it in perspective, you'd have a much better chance of injuring yourself pumping gasoline than getting hurt while performing this easy conversion! Safety is first and foremost so follow the directions exactly as they appear in the manual. Do not keep a flame near the work area, as hydrogen will definitely burn the daylights out of you if ignited!

When you make the decision to power your car on water, it makes it slightly safer (contrary to what many of us have been told). This is because the mixture of fuel will contain less combustible gas than before the water fuel transformation. If you're concerned about your engine, don't be! This specific conversion has been shown to be very safe for it. When you use HHO gas in conjunction, it proliferates a much cooler burn, which causes a great deal less wear on your vehicle over the long haul. This, in turn, will allow you keep more money in the bank so you don't ever have to worry about the price at the pump. This emotional freedom alone is priceless!

2) Does this water fuel technology work with all automobiles? Absolutely! It can be applied to any type of gasoline-powered car or truck. Now, it works fairly better with fuel economy vehicles. If you drive a large SUV or truck, get rid of it! This is because you may not see as large of a jump in fuel economy as light-weight, less fuel-demanding cars / trucks. I suspect in a few years America will be like many other countries, in that, SUV's will be a rarity because they will be out of reach for the middle class.

Considering that no analyst can see gas prices decreasing at any point in the near future, these manuals about how to convert your car to run on water may be your only chance at saving money on gasoline over the next several years. And considering the cost of the manual and all the parts used to create it can actually be less than the cost of filling up your gas tank, you should consider purchasing one of them quickly, as they will pay for themselves in a matter of weeks.

To wrap up, it is indeed possible to run your car on water and the conversion is relatively simple and cheap. Do not be misled or programmed by the mainstream media when they tell you that oil is the only viable solution. This cutting-edge, home-made hybrid approach is only the beginning of what is to come in revolutionary clean fuel breakthroughs!

Discount Flooring: How To Maximize Your Money

By Tariq Khan

Discount flooring is a great way to quickly improve the value of a home that needs renovation. Although discount flooring used to mean substandard materials that looked poor, there are materials available today that are both appealing and cheap.

Hardwood flooring and expensive carpeting are not a requirement to realize a great looking design anymore. There are a number of manufacturers that specialize in quality discount flooring today, look to suppliers that can provide vinyl flooring. Vinyl flooring is a revolutionary product that makes quality affordable. Both very affordable and flexible, this discount floor fits just about any requirement and looks great in the process. Vinyl flooring has been in use in the commercial sector for several years because of its affordability and quality. Floors with a high degree of traffic require durable flooring that is easy to maintain. Vinyl flooring provides just the durability needed to resist the abrasions of everyday high traffic levels.

Vinyl flooring is also very resistant to stains and water damage. Pressure sealed against water damage, vinyl flooring keeps water out both from spills and from the subfloor. The pressure sealed flooring will not absorb stains either, and as long as the spill is taken care of quickly, it should leave no mark.

When vinyl flooring loses its luster, it can be easily restored with a buffing or refinishing of the surface. This is an extremely simple surface to care for, and does not require the high level of maintenance seen with hardwoods.

Wood flooring can be very appealing, but it is also difficult to care for and costly. Wood flooring can bow or buckle with water damage and moisture exposure. The flooring is also vulnerable to expansion and contraction as time passes, eventually leading to cracks in the surface. Vinyl flooring does not suffer from these problems, and with its interlocking tile system, damaged tiles can be taken out and replaced with ease.

Carpet can sometimes be an affordable solution, but it is also susceptible to suffering damage over time. Moisture and stains can be absorbed into the surface, causing a great deal of damage over time. Carpets can also be damaged by abrasion as time passes, becoming frayed and torn in places.

Colours And The Colour Wheel!...

By Anna Meenaghan

Colour wheels play a big part in art. The wheel itself is made up of six basic colours. The first side contains red, orange and yellow, and the second side, blue, violet and green. The first set of colors have a warmth to them and seem to come to meet you, with the second set moving backwards, with a cool feel to them.

This is very useful, say, if you are doing trees in a landscape picture. If you use blue and green for the distant trees it would make them look as if they are receding. Now, colours which are into opposition to each, otherwise known as complementary colours.

This can be used to great effect to create strong colouring which is vibrant and a good contrast to your pictures.

Something to remember is the light reflects everything we see in colour around us. To the average person they probably see, say, brown as brown, red as red, but it does not have to be like this.

We are surrounded by examples. Water and all the different tones of blues and greens we see in it, the same can be said about the sky, sunsets etc. All this is dependant on the light.

If the sun passes through raindrops the spectrum appears. Looking at these colours, if you make a ring with these, you have a colour wheel. Which brings us to colour mixing!

Red, yellow and blue cannot be produced fom any other colour in the wheel for these, the primary colours, are pure. Secondary colours are made by a level mixture of the two primary colour neighbours from the circle, these being the orange, green and violet.

To take this one step further, you can mix the secondary colours with any of the three primary colours. Turquoise being what occurs if you mix blue with green. If you look at the colour labels on paints, it seems the names seem to stem from precious stones and plants.

As you may have come to the realisation, the wheel does not include black and white. In essence, when the light shines on to something it soaks up part of its wavelengths, this results in some coming back to make up the colour we are seeing.

With the colour black it soaks them all up and white bounces them all back. Therefore black is a missing colour and white is all the colours made into one.

How about trying to see how many shades of brown you can make just from different mixes of the primary colours?

Colour quite obviously plays a very important part for artists. It is amazing, you can create atmosphere, emotions, excite, present illusions of realism and even control space. They can also be transparent, opaque, translucent, textured, flat, matt, gloss, dull or vibrant.

Explained - Candlemaking For Novices!...

By Anna Meenaghan

Candle making is pretty easy to do on the whole. I am only surprised that more folks don't experiment with this bearing in mind that candles are such a accepted item. Not simply do they generate a feeling of warmth and release perhaps healing powers as we find them restful, but they also give us soft and informal atmospheres to slow down by.

What is more, you need very few items to make them with. At the outset you will need several moulds, these are mostly to be found in rubber or else plastic, but they need to be flexible. Plus 3 or 4 assorted wicks in varying sizes and some colour. There is by and large quite a collection of colours, as a result you can, indeed, blend them.

Subsequently there is the wax/stearin itself, and you would certainly love some nice scents to harmonize with the candles. Accordingly, first grab your moulds and take care that they are perfectly clean inside and not harbouring dust.

A few moulds include a wick gap, as a result you will need to prepare a teeny cut to string the wick through. The thinner wicks to be used in favor of the smaller moulds as well as vice versa.Generally you want to cut the wick in any case 2 inches longer than your mould. Place the wick all through the mould, tying a knot inside the wick on top of the actual outside of your mould.

After that draw this out in the region of half an inch, this bit is projected to ignite it by. Depress some blue tack around the gap on the mould outer, if not your wax is apt to seep out. Right away, at the base of the mould, tie the other end of the wick to a cocktail stick and put this across your mould bottom.

Clearly the wick has to remain central and secure, but do not try to stretch it. How much wax do I suppose you will want? If you fill up your mould along with water before you commence this will work as a guide, but remember this is the melted wax I am talking about.

At this point you will want a couple of interlocking saucepans, so that one will incorporate the other. Use a trivet and situate a quantity of warm water beneath the larger pan. The wax goes within your little pan. Set the little saucepan inside the larger one and now put it on a low heat (temperature). If you are not sure how much wax to utilize experiment with around 500g.

Watch the wax in addition to the water level carefully. Don't let it get too hot! Once this has melted add the stearin. Add one tenth stearin to ten parts wax. Put your colour in a little at a time from the colour strips, you will not need much. After that add some fragrance, pot pourri, or else essential oils.

The mould needs to be slightly warm. Tip the wax into a measuring container for liquid, since this makes it easier to therefore fill up your mould. Try and keep the mould on a slant while you do this. Also, try to transfer the wax inside so that it all but touches the cocktail stick. You will maybe have to block in about the base once it has cooled down.

When it has set rigid, take off the mould sealant. Cut the knot off the wick as near to the knot as possible, then detach the toothpick from the base. Now take out your candle. If this is difficult, run the hot water tap over it for a few moments.

Now chop the wick to however long you actually want it. Make sure the base of the candle is level and leave it at least a day. It should then be ready for use. If you have managed this successfully you will probably receive as much enjoyment from it in the same way as if you were creating, say abstract paintings, or even realism artwork.
