So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas

Choosing Candle Making Wax

By Kor Rassad

Today, with the growing popularity of candle making, candle making wax has created steps to get better, more available, and with more variety then before. Individuals are constantly seeking for the new thing and since wax is the master ingredient in candle making, the changes have been there.

Most of the wax used in candles today is refined from petroleum like paraffin wax. This is the type of wax that is in nearly all candles. Paraffin wax is readily accessible and low-cost. Other types of waxes are natural and processed from vegetable or plant materials like soy, palm, or bayberry. A natural wax growing in popularity is soy based wax. It is prepared by hydrogenating soybeans which makes them suitable for candles.

Soy wax is a inexhaustible resource that is eco-friendly. The better part about soy wax is that the bulk of soybeans are grown in the United States primarily in Illinois, Iowa, and Indiana. Palm wax is also natural and a inexhaustible resource. Unfortunately with the growing popularity of palm wax, nations like Indonesia and Malaysia were clearing our big regions of rainforest in order to plant palm plantations. This is cataclysmic to ecosystems and compromises the populations of vulnerable animals like orangutangs, rhinos and the Sumatran tiger.

Gratefully, the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) stepped in and established RSPO. This organization was founded to develop and define the optimal practices for sustainable palm cultivation. They also assist member organizations to implement and verify the procedures. So when you are shopping for palm wax make sure that they are obtaining wax in an eco-friendly way.

Numerous candles are made from animal based materials like beeswax. Candles made from beeswax, palm, and bayberry were provided by companies in the past. Recently there has been a new and growing interest in making candles out of these natural products. One of the more common natural waxes is beeswax. It is obtainable in yellow or white. Although the cost of beeswax can be expensive, candle makers are attracted to its nice scent, the burning characteristics it holds, and the hardiness of the product.

Gel candles are also a new variety of way to make candles. It is a clear, rubbery texture but functions the same as wax. Gel wax is available in three different densities. The density of the gel that the candle needs counts upon the type of candle you are preparing to make and how much aroma you are planning to use. Low density gel wax is better for candles with a 0-3% scent load. Also, the low denseness can be poured at a lower temperature. The medium density gel wax works well with candles that have a 3-5% scent load. It is likely the most popular gel wax to work with. High density gel wax is best for candle with a greater perfume load.

With so many various kinds of wax obtainable, candle maker are able to pick the type that works best for them. When a candle maker is capable of understanding each variety of wax, they are competent to fully experience every inch of the candle making market and get double, triple or even quadruple the fulfillment.

Buying Motorcycle Insurance

By Donald West

Did you know that even though motorcycles only make up three percent of the vehicles on our roads today, that motorcycles make up a large amount of the auto thefts and auto accidents on a yearly basis in the United States? It's True. Five to ten motorcycles are stolen across the country every minute. Motorcycles are also involved in close to ten percent of all vehicular accidents, despite only being three percent of the vehicles on the road.

Due to the inexperience that most people have with buying motorcycle insurance we have put this information together to better help you decide what types of motorcycle insurance you would like to purchase.

Purchasing the proper type and amount of motorcycle is very important. We definitely recommend full coverage considering how often motorcycles in this country are stolen. Comparing the prices of various types of insurance is really easy today because of the internet. We believe, and you will probably agree, that the most difficult thing about getting motorcycle insurance is deciding what kind of motorcycle insurance to buy.

Due to the seasonal nature of many motorcycles and the fact that most people do not ride motorcycles in the winter many bike owners decide to just purchase liability insurance. If you are thinking of doing this you should realize that while you may save money on your premiums, it's certainly not going to give you that peace of mind you're after. Ask your agent for his or her advice, then we recommend that you take it. They have been selling motorcycle insurance for a long time, and they have seen the problems that come from only having liability insurance.

One factor that, of course, will influence the cost of your motorcycle insurance is the type of bike you own. Sport bikes, like Crotch Rockets demand higher premiums because of how fast they are and how commonly they are involved in accidents. Likewise, touring bikes are large, they're often used for traveling long distances and of course, they're expensive so in most cases, owners of these bikes will also be faced with higher insurance costs. Just make sure that you recognize that insurance providers always take into consideration that type of bike you ride before giving you a quote.

Other factors, such as how much experience you have riding motorcycles or where you will be parking the motorcycle at night, also will have an influence on the price of your insurance premiums. As you can see, there are a whole host of aspects to determining what you will need to pay for your motorcycle insurance.

It is because of reasons like this that we recommend that you talk in detail about your motorcycle insurance needs with an insurance agent. They will be able to help you get the best deal while ensuring that you have all the coverage that you need. Remember, looking for insurance online is a great way to compare quotes side by side.

We congratulate you on the purchase of your new motorcycle, make sure that you ride safe and have fun. We hope you have found this advice regarding motorcycle insurance helpful in your search.

Eight Things People with Dementia Should Avoid

By Esther Dacamay

Since proper nutrition is the building foundation from which our bodies fight off disease, half the battle in improving symptoms of dementia is knowing what NOT to eat, or how NOT to prepare your food. Check out these eight principals that will be sure to make you think twice about what you put into your mouth.

1) No Milk - All dairy milk products should be eliminated from the diet of someone with Dementia. Instead, they should look elsewhere for their dairy needs. Milk made from soy, rice, almonds and goats are best.

2) No Beef - People with Dementia should eliminate red meat as well as all processed meats such as sausage and hot dogs. In their place, you can partake in plant based sources such as soy or alfalfa sprouts and fish. Fish like tuna, sardines, salmon and cod carry high quality Omega 3 Fatty Acids which are beneficial to the body.

3) Extra Crispy? - Although the extra crispy chicken from KFC might taste real good, its best to avoid all fast foods and fried foods altogether. They contain too many free-radical-forming agents because of the type of oil it is deep-fried in.

4) Beer or Wine - All alcohol consumption should be limited. In France, a recent study showed that those partaking in one or two glasses of red wine per day were able to fight stress more diligently. The reason for this beneficial reaction is the antioxidant activity in theoligomeric proanthocyanidin substances found in the wine.

5) No Refined or Man Made Sugar - Eliminate sugar found commonly in donuts, cookies and cakes as well as sugar substitutes such as aspartame, NutraSweet, equal and saccharin.

6) No Red Vines! - If you're a fan of the bitter-tart taste of licorice, youre out of luck. This candy potentiates cortisol and compromises potassium intake, which can lead to hypokalemia.

7) Don't Worry, Be Happy! - Avoid stress at all times, for cortisol, as mentioned above, compromises potassium intake. Speaking of stress, dont place undue stress on the immune system by consuming alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, white sugar, processed foods and red meat.

8) Ban Aluminum - There has been some significant speculation that the ingestion of aluminum from cookware, antiperspirants, antacids and foods contributes highly to the onset of Alzheimer's disease, a cortical type of dementia.
