So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Buying a Party Tent for your Garden this Summer?

By Andy Mason

When arranging an outdoor event it is important that you provide some sort of cover for your guests in case the weather turns a little inclement during it. Certainly there are plenty of companies around today who hire out party tents in a number of different styles, shapes and sizes.

When it comes to hiring party tents the first important decision you need to make is what type you want to use for your event. You will soon discover that there are two different types of party tents to choose from. The first is the more traditional style tent where canvas is the main covering and poles along with guy ropes are used to help keep the tent in position and also to help it stand up.

The other types of party tents are those which are constructed using an aluminium frame. These are not only much easier to erect but there is no need for guy ropes or poles. Also with such party tents you can place them on any kind of surface and if you need them to be they can be placed close to other structures. Another added benefit of using the aluminium framed party tent is that they are much more stable and can cover a larger area than the traditional style ones.

With the aluminium framed tents what you will soon discover is that decorating them is a lot quicker and simpler to do. These types of tents come with pitched roofs so you have plenty of points where lighting and decorations can be hung from. So creating the ideal atmosphere for the event taking place inside becomes much easier.

The material used to cover the aluminium framed party tents is polyester which although lighter in weight than the canvas used on the traditional style ones is just as durable. However, it does feel much softer and tends to be more pliable but offers a high level of protection to those inside from the weather.

It does not matter whether the tent you hire is made from wood and canvas or aluminium and polyester you need to ensure that you locate it correctly. The surface on to which it is to be erected should be flat and even and you should make sure that it is close to all essential services such as power and water. By keeping these things in mind actually staying within your budget constraints becomes a lot easier.

One other thing that has to be considered when you are hiring party tents is what size you require. So you need to ensure that the space you are going to erect the tent on will be of sufficient size to cater for it. Also if you are hiring a large tent then the hire company will need more time to spend on erecting and decorating the tent and then to take it down after the event has happened.

Plenty of people today are hiring party tents to hold large events in rather than renting rooms in large hotels as they tend to cost far less. However, before you go ahead and arrange to get such a structure spend some time investigating the various different hire companies to see what they offer. This way not only will you find exactly what you need but also ensure that you stay within the remits of your budget.
