So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Garden & Asian Wedding Favors for Your Special Occasion

By Aaron H.

Wedding favors are a new tradition found at most weddings today. They are a special way to say "Thank you" to the guests that helped make this day special, and created the best of memories. With outdoor weddings, couples tend to add a touch of the orient to give their wedding a more a exotic feel. They may also allow the many colors of Mother Nature to shine through with the decorations and wedding favors they choose. Asian wedding favors and Garden wedding favors are two options to consider in these cases.

There has always been something exotic and mysterious about the orient. Books have been written, movies made, and yet, no one has ever managed to completely grasp the entirety of this mystery. Asian themes are among the most beautiful available for weddings. Asian decorations and glyphs help to create an exotic atmosphere that is very romantic.

Giving Asian wedding favors is a way for couples to send a small piece of this mystery home so that their guests will always remember how beautiful the scene was and the happiness shared at this wedding. Weddings and receptions with an Oriental theme are often held outdoors. One prominent feature of outdoor weddings with an Asian theme is Oriental paper lanterns. The soft light from these lanterns helps to create a very exotic and romantic air. Asian silk fans are one type of wedding favor that compliments such decorations. Other favors are available in different forms that have the Chinese glyph for "Love" on them or even the doubled glyph of "Happiness" which means "Double happiness" and has the two glyphs intertwined just as the couple is intertwining their lives.

If a more simple, outdoors or garden theme is chosen for the wedding, garden wedding favors would be better to give. Different items from inexpensive favor boxes to packets of flowering seeds fall under the heading of garden wedding favors. The common thread among garden wedding favors is the depiction of the beauty of nature and the joy of putting two things together to create one, just as the couple is doing with their lives. This aspect of garden wedding favors is very romantic.

Giving wedding favors is a traditional part of most weddings today. Oriental or garden themes are often chosen for outdoor weddings and receptions. Wedding favors that match the theme of the wedding decorations become valued "Thank you" gifts for the guests to keep as mementos of this special occasion for many years. Asian wedding favors add a touch of Oriental mystery to a wedding while garden wedding favors show the mysteries of nature. Either type of favor makes a keepsake that guests will cherish for a long time.
