So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Give Chocolate for a Romantic Valentine's Day

By DrJeanaDavidNed57

If you're looking for the perfect gift for your sweetie this Valentine's Day, you might be having a tough time deciding on a gift. The perfect Valentine's Day gift has to be romantic, luxurious, and thoughtful. Don't be one of those people who picks a disappointing gift year after year. The easiest way to assure that you've selected the best gift for your girlfriend or wife is to choose something chocolate!

Truffles, mints, melties, creams, whites, caramels, delicate darks and decadent milks - whatever you choose will be guaranteed to please. Chocolate is not only delicious, but also it is as much the traditional symbol of love as the red rose.

In fact, one of your options is to create a chocolate rose "bouquet". The bouquet is composed of decadent dark, white or milk chocolate in the formation of a beautiful, edible rose. You can make your bouquet even more special by selecting unique chocolate flavours such as pink peppermint and raspberry.

They even look like roses as they are wrapped in red foil and attached to a stem so they can be held like a bouquet. For extra fun they are tied with a pretty ribbon and put in a box made for real roses. Your special someone is up for a surprise when she opens the box and finds chocolate instead of the roses she expected.

Other possibilities are chocolate gift baskets. These are a great choice if you're not sure what kind of chocolate treats your sweetheart might like. You can choose truffles, petit fours, tortes, kisses and bars, and even bridge mixes. To add to the excitement, you can add a chocolate-colored teddy bear, fine dessert wine or champagne, roses, or anything else your heart desires.

You even have a variety of boxes to choose from, ranging from the traditional box, to bowls, wicket baskets and even a romantic picnic basket. Long after she has eaten her exotic sweets she will still have the basket as a reminder of her special romantic day.

Another popular choice is the traditional box of luxurious chocolates. A box of chocolates is the classic Valentine's gift, but it isn't outdated or clichd! In fact, everyone enjoys a velvet-lined, heart shaped box filled with treats like nut clusters, caramels, crmes, and truffles. If your sweetheart is not able to eat sugar or is dieting, you can choose sugar free chocolates or low-fat chocolates. There are also some more unusual choices for the chocolate box, including chocolate covered pretzels, nuts, and hard-shelled candy.

One of the oft overlooked choices, as sad as that is, is the gift of chocolate covered fruit. You sweetheart will swoon when she sees the lavish and decadent gift you have gotten her of chocolate covered strawberries and other fruits. Strawberries are the first that come to mind but don't forget the more unusual ones such as apricots or cherries. Plum succulent fruit encased in sweet rich chocolate is mouth watering and undeniably romantic.
