So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Heller Beams as a Modern Furniture Investment Choice

By Patrick Mahoney

Having a collection of modern furniture of award winning quality was once out of the realm of the average household. In 1998, Heller decided to prove that exceptional design, industrial production and reasonable prices were possible for those seeking upscale designer furniture. Starting with the Bellini chair by Mario Bellini, Heller Inc. has brought their name to be considered the ultimate in affordable designer furnishings. There are several reasons why Heller is such an outstanding company but five reasons stand out.

Fresh and new products regularly hit the scene at Heller with World Famous Designers bringing innovation from their international class exposure. Names such as Frank Gehry, best known for his architectural landmark, the titanium-covered Guggenheim Museum, and Bocca by Studio 65, with their soulful approach to contemporary mod, are well-known names in the arena of modern design that regularly share creative ideas at Heller.

The Award Winning Museum Quality Designs by Heller are affirmed by museums that feature their collections. The Pinakothek in Munich, the Cleveland Museum of Art the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Smithsonian are among several institutions exhibiting the stunning selections by the Heller team. Awards include Good Design Award, The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and I.D. Design and Annual Design Distinction for Furniture and Compasso d'Oro, Italy.

Thirty-five years ago, Heller presented a line of stacking dinnerware designed by Massimo Vignelli, hoping that the Investment Quality Designs of designers would be something that the public could appreciate. Beyond their wildest dreams, this line was very well accepted and as a result, the furniture line was started with the same concept in mind. The stacking dinnerware is still popular today and can be found in the permanent design collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Form and Function is an added option of Heller with durable products that are designed for both indoors and out. Many pieces are modular, stackable and are valuable as space savers. The artistic presence of these pieces can be used anywhere, serving multiple purposes in the workplace or high traffic areas where solid, lasting form is necessary while presenting a modern day flair.

Lifestyle dominates the must for gregarious yet practical furnishings for a fun and witty setting that is possible by creative designs. From the break neck curves of a Gehry designed cube to the giant red lips on a Bocca seat from Studio 65, these designs simply make you feel good. Museum approved quality, world famous designers and functional features spell investment that can be yours with modern furniture, lasting for years to come.
