So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Matching your style to your bathroom vanity

By Jamie J. Zidan

When you're looking for a different theme for your bathroom you may also be considering the purchase of a brand new bathroom vanity. You will find quite a few older homes that simply have a piece of glass on the wall serving as a mirror. Now you will find most new homes have some type of framed vanity mirror. The vanity mirror situated above the sink has become an extremely crucial component of your bathroom. The reason for this is because it can be changed out regularly while the other bathroom fixtures (toilet, bathtub, sink) are permanent because of piping layout.

If you set out to do a total renovation of the bathroom you will be able to change out your toilet, shower or sink. But if it's just a new design your focusing on there isn't much you can change with them. They are still used in the same fashion. The theme of the shower curtain can be changed as well as the seat on the toilet. You may want to go with a wood, plastic or cushioned style. These are just two of the cosmetic changes that can be made to the permanent fixtures periodically. The only item that you have total control over is your bathroom vanity and mirror.

A bathroom vanity mirror can be called the basic building block of a bathroom theme. It can be trimmed with any color which makes this feature very flexible in any bathroom theme. The influence of the mirror will be noticed by all the guests and also will affect the bathroom's theme. If you feel that you have choose the wrong mirror, your bathroom will not be balanced and it will feel like you just threw all the pieces in place without a purpose.

When decorating your bathroom you need to take the first step, coming up with a theme. You need to make sure that the theme is inviting. The best way to bring a certain theme in is purchasing the appropriate bathroom vanity. When using earth tones, it brings warmth into a room full of bright white porcelain furniture. When using stone for the vanity counter, earth tones match very well. This type of stone can also be found in tiles that would go nice on the floor to carry out the theme.

In choosing the right bathroom vanity, you will want to find the appropriate size of sink and one that coordinates well with your overall theme. Understanding that your sink and mirror should be proportionate to each other can help you when you're searching for a new one.

When working with warm tones in your bathroom, you may want to decide on gold fixtures. You could also add some gold accents by picking a bathroom vanity that could have gold trim. The simple way for a mirror to fit into the theme of your bathroom is to make sure that it coordinates with the trim on the vanity and it can all be looked at by the overhead lighting.

When you are designing your bathroom you need to look at how much room is available and the appropriate size of bathroom vanity you need. You also don't want it too crowded so use accessories sparingly. The whole idea about theme is not just to bring out the wood around the mirror but also on the vanity.
