So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Electric Griddle or Stovetop griddle?

By Steven V. Rodenbergh

Do you have a griddle? What do you use it for? Hopefully you just use it for cooking. You use it for cooking, but you probably use it for cooking all sorts of different foods. I doubt you use it for anything besides cooking as I couldn't see what else it would include.

What great foods can you use a griddle to cook? All sorts of food from pancakes or eggs for breakfast, grilled cheese for, lunch or burgers, chicken, or veggies for dinner. There are many more great and delicious foods you can cook on a griddle.

When it comes to home cooking, there are mainly two kinds of griddles. You could use a griddle that you put on your stove-top, or you could use an electric griddle that you plug in and put on the counter.

Which kind of griddle should you choose? Which is better? There is no better choice. The griddle you choose because it works best for you might be a horrible choice for the next person. It depends on what you need and what you prefer.

The stove-top griddle is ideal for someone who lives alone or with one other person. It can be used right on top of the griddle which makes it very convenient. It will also save you counter space if you have a small kitchen.

Do you live alone and not cook much? You could save even more stove space and cabinet space if you get a round griddle pan. You can use it on the stove just like a griddle but it is smaller. It is like a skillet but without a lip around the edge.

Electric griddles are perfect for large families. If you cook a lot and need all the burners you can get, an electric griddle can be used away from the stove. Use the counter space and you get more stove space.

You don't need to worry about what the "right" griddle type is because the right one for you is not universally right. Just make sure you think about what you need and you buy according to your needs and wants.
