So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

How to Make Wood Pellets

By Aiden Normski

Due to the recession, the world has become uncertain and with this people are looking for ways to make there money last longer. Pellet stoves are a great way to do this as they are very good and cheap to run. Now more and more people are moving in this direction and with this have become a shortage of readily available pellet fuel.

People however have began to look at making there own pellet fuels and one way to do this is too have a small mobile wood pellet making machine, which we can operate and keep our stove running all year round.

Many different materials including wood can be turned into pellets in the pellet mill, this is what makes the pellet stoves so attractive, our fuels can be used, and collectively they are called biomass pellets. These include wood and waste wood, straws and grasses, energy crops and many other materials.

Biomas pellets is a skilled process and requires some level of skill and understanding of the equipment used. This is where PelHeat as created an eBook to explain all this and more so you will have a good understanding of the process involved. The step by step guide to making wood pellets is explained in 10 easy to understand sections. The process from the beginning as a raw material followed by material size reduction, drying, mixing, conditioning, mill, sieving, cooling, bagging and storage.

Here's a simple look at the steps of the guide::

Biomass Pellet Fuel and Future Potential

Here we will explain the production process involved and how we convert the raw material by means of heat and pressure. Factors such as natural lignin and moisture content will affect the quality and production of your pellet fuel.

Production Process and the Principles Involved

In the Wood Pellet Making Guide they will explain the process of production, explaining the heat and pressure is used to create the biomass pellets. Also the moisture content and natural lignin will affect the quality and productivity.

Equipment and Machinery

Different equipment will be used depending on the size and scale involved and of cause the type of biomass fuel you are making.

Ring Die Pellet Mill and Flat Die Mill

Each of the mills have their own pro's and con's which we will explain clearly within the guide. Deciding factors are things such as their own speed, metals involved and again what type of biomass fuel you are making.

Types of Mill Lubricants and Binders

Depending on the raw material that you are using your machines may require some form of lubricants and to make the fuel you may require binders and these will improve the quality and productivity of your mill.
