So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

LED lighting - The Energy Efficient Way To See

By Tom Sanderrs

LED or light emitting diode lights are lights that convert electricity into light. They have a special circuit that uses less energy and lasts longer than a regular light bulb. They are often equipped with reflectors to enhance their lighting capacity.

There are advantages to using LED lighting, so what are they?

LED lights have been around for about 40 years and were originally used as small instrument lights like the ones you might have seen in an aircraft. They have progressed to domestic and business use as a very reliable source of light that is energy efficient while at the same time providing superior light output. As the world starts to look for alternatives to save energy, LED lights have gained a very strong following and will probably take over from traditional bulbs in the future.

Longevity: The bulbs also last up to ten times longer than regular bulbs. In fact some say that they can be used for forty years! This saves you the hassle of replacing light bulbs and also saves you money.

LEDs create more light by using reflectors, generating a more brilliant light that is directional. This is why they are utilized in so many situations, to bring new dimensions to areas as well as for practicality.

LED lighting can be used in a number of ways, here are a few:

Strip lighting under cabinets: cabinets can create dark areas around counters and work spaces in kitchens. This can be dangerous as well as unhygienic, making it difficult to work and clean. Some intelligently placed LED lights will create the light needed and enhance the look and feel of any kitchen or similar work area.

For late night readers, many traditional bulbs produce a light that is adequate but not ideal. Tired eyes can result from poor lighting and result in eye strain. LEDs are a more brighter light source that is directional.

Many people use LEDs to highlight certain areas or show pieces in their home or business. LEDs are perfect for drawing attention to certain areas.

LED lighting is also perfect for landscapes and outdoor areas. Gardens are brought to life and the natural look of decks are brought to attention by well positioned lighting that creates strong effects.

LED lighting comes in a huge variety of colors and can be used to change effects or highlight areas. You can experiment with different hues in your business, yard, outdoor areas or even kitchen. At the same time, LEDs produce a stronger light that last much longer while using less energy.

As you can see LED lighting is the illumination of the future. You save energy, get better lighting and do not have to change your light bulbs as often. In short you are saving money on a superior product. So when you are looking for new lighting concepts for your home it is worth your while to do some research into LED lighting.
