So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Countdown to Moving Day-Three Top Tips

By Affordable Storage Guy

Isn't it amazing how many of your friends and family members have plans on the very same day that you're moving? Not really, when you consider the slapdash way many of us approach packing. Who wants to help you move your stuff when it's scattered all over the place, making the job look twice as big as it really is? With a little planning and organization, you can make the job easier on yourself, and maybe even convince a few people to help you with it!

Choose Appropriate Materials-Boxes, boxes, boxes. You're not going to get anywhere if you don't lay in an adequate supply of boxes. They're sturdy, recyclable, can be gotten for free, and will hold almost everything you own, so get plenty.

Bags are good for items like clothing, bedding, and soft toys. They'll also do in a pinch when you've run out of boxes and are left with miscellaneous odds and ends. Just be sure to avoid putting anything heavy or with sharp edges in bags.

Maximize Space-Hauling a bunch of half-empty boxes in an oversized moving van will make moving day more time consuming and more expensive, so be sure to fill your boxes full enough that you aren't wasting space, but not so full that the bottoms will fall out when you lift them.

When possible, use boxes that are the same size; this will allow you to fill up the space inside your moving van more efficiently, and allow you to save money by renting a smaller van.

Label Everything-It may seem like a no-brainer, but there's an art to properly labeling your containers. You want enough information to make unpacking easy, but you don't want to spend countless hours listing every single item. Just as with loading your van, balance is the key to proper labeling.

Choose your containers wisely, label them clearly, and make the most of the space within them to reduce waste and increase productivity.
