So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Rolex Watches: Are They Worth The Price?

By Ronald C. Lundy

Rolex are world renowned for introducing the public to amazing watches which are crafted like fine pieces of art. Rolex watches are also famous for being incredibly expensive. An average working class person will never come to own enough money (or a reason) to believably purchase a Rolex. Those who are more fortunate might actually be looking for a nice watch. But at such a cost are they really worth the price?

Rolex is the largest manufacturer of luxury watches in the world. The Swiss brand reportedly mass produces about 60,000 watches a month for sale in its many stores located around the world. The Rolex brand was started by Hans Wilsdorf in 1905. He owned a business in which he made custom watches. Wilsdorf moved his company to Geneva Switzerland and quickly started innovating watches with new inventions and advanced models. Rolex where pioneers in the field and introduced the worlds first watches to feature water proof cases, dust and air proof cases, and even the worlds first self winding watch in 1931. To this day they continue to produce high quality watches at high prices.

Rolex watches are only made with the best material available. These materials are extremely durable passing on the traits to the finished product. The watches are very resistant to damage and can even withstand the immense amounts of pressure change from deep sea diving or flying high above in the atmosphere. These drastic change in atmosphere (more commonly known as cabin pressure when in an air plane) can severely damage low quality watches. While many people will never feel the need to explore the ocean floor in a submarine or fly in anything but commercial airlines these watches can weather the pressure. This amazing feature makes these watches incredibly durable to everyday use.

Rolex watches are very unique. As well as being durable the watches also depict the person wearing them as extremely wealthy. It is no secret that with such a high price tag, that the watches are also extremely fashionable. Not only will the wearer appear to be extremely wealthy but they will also be on the cutting edge of time piece fashion with a Rolex watch.

One of the most obvious reasons most people cannot afford a Rolex watch is due to the price tag. A single can cost as much as a lease on a house. Many people dream of coming into such large amounts of money. Those who can afford such a watch might consider purchasing something more substantial than just a small piece of jewelry.

Another unfortunate inconvenience to owning a Rolex is the vast cost of repairs. The Rolex is comprised of unique pieces and only a person trained specifically Rolex repair can fix a watch. For the price of repair you might as well buy a less expensive Rolex.

Just like any purchase one must weigh the advantages and disadvantages purchasing a Rolex watch might bring. But at such high prices it may be wiser to purchase a rather inexpensive replica watch.
