So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Bedroom Change In A Snap: Time For A New Interior

By Michelle Rocher

Have you just surveyed your bedroom and felt bored just by looking at it? Do you find yourself often sighing out of frustration for the same old look you see? Do you wish you could sleep and relax in a different place but one that you can still call your very own? If only Donald Trump could give you a free pad in one of his Trump apartments...

Here are 5 easy to do redecorating ideas:

First, organize. Nothing beats a clean and orderly bedroomor any room at that. It's time to put your clothes back to where they belong - the closet. Time too to place the books and magazines to where they should be - the shelf or rack. Those cosmetics strewn around might do your feet more harm than good, so pack them up in your cosmetics bag or organizer. Seriously, clean up your bedroom and see how it becomes an instant makeover technique. Your room will look like a brand new living space.

Paint your bedroom - Paint or wallpaper your room with a nice color of your choice. Deep or a dark shade for a bedroom is now in vogue. The lighting should be controlled in such a way that it meets your needs, say if you usually read in bed every night you should get a bedside lamp installed.

Next, choose your fabrics. Once you have chosen your color, selecting the beddings, curtains and area rugs for your bedroom will be a breeze. Incorporate texture as much as you can by adding small but relevant items like throw pillows, area rugs, drapes, etc. The natural softness of flowers also give the room a more elegant look.

Add a personal touch- Adding a personal touch to your furniture will enhance the ambiance. There is nothing like putting a jar of potpourri or a scented candle on a side table to go with the mood. Get family portraits done of special occasions, do just enough so as to not clutter the place. Hand made flowers do look attractive and are easy to maintain, so why not arrange one and place it in a pretty pot. A friend of mine even makes tissue and crape flowers to add her own touch to her bedroom.

Lastly, make space for storage. Compartments are important for keeping your things organized. There should be a space for keeping your clothes, books, magazines, etc. as well as for displaying your decors.

Once all this is done you are sure to want to spend more time relaxing in such a beautiful setting!
