So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Fun Decorating! Happy Time In The Playroom

By Chris Austin

If there is one room in the house that you can go crazy in decorating, that is without a doubt your children's playroom. Let out the child in you, show your creativity and enjoy the fun ride with loud colors, toys, cute decors and area rugs.

The more colorful the playroom is, the better! Children love bright hues. If you need to paint it with more than one color to satisfy your children's wishes for their favorite colors, by all means, feel free to do so. The playroom should be a cheerful, stimulating space and hues can help you achieve this atmosphere.

The playroom although fun should not be directly proportional to being messy. Make sure that it is an organized and clutter-free room every time the children's playtime is over. Make use of storage compartments that are also colorful and decorative. These will add character to the playroom, while also saving you the expenses of buying more decorations. Actually, the toys alone can pretty much make up the room's interior, don't you think?

Finally, you can add area rugs to a play room to designate different areas. If you have little boys in your life that love things that move, then add a rug with roads on it in a corner. You can designate this as the moving center. Place a basket with all of their cars and trucks in it and voila! You have a separate center in your room. If you and your child love to read, place another rug in a corner across the room. Add some bean bag chairs and you have your reading center. Teaching your child how to use different play centers or areas, can help prepare them for school. Most kindergarten classes employ the use of centers and if your child already uses them at home, then they are one step ahead!

Have fun in transforming the playroom into your children's own heaven on earth. Remember, the colors make the space lively, the decors make it more child-oriented and the area rugs more welcoming and comfy. Add in some fun artworks and your playroom-decorating project is complete. Have fun!
