So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Pay Method For Truck Drivers

By Angela Marie

If you are searching for a job in truck driving the biggest thing you may wonder is probably, How much income do truck drivers make? This is a very exciting topic to go over as we will go through the things that directly effect truck driver pay scale and give you realistic salary values.

As a truck driver you will drive about 100K miles per year on average. Did you know that thats about the same as driving around the globe 4 times? This is not a cake walk however because the operation ratio for most trucking companies is about 95%. The trucking industry alone bring in about $255 Billion in revenue per year!

Here is the part of the article that you have been waiting for, the money! Drivers and people looking for truck driving careers can expect to be making $32,400 " $42,300 annually on average to start out. This figure also depends on the size of the trucking company you get hired for and stay with. MOST owner operator truck drivers gross between $100K " $150K per year with a 50% operating cost. This makes their net incomes per year equal about $50,000 " $75,000.

Logically you can count on grossing $35,000 per year when you start. Be very wary & aware when you hear about offers to make $60,000 a year as a new truck driver. If you are an owner operator & own a truck then yes, $60,000 is a realistic number. This figure just does not happen for new truck drivers who dont own a truck.

Truck driving jobs pay very well and often come along with benefits such as health insurance etc. Just remember that these jobs are in high demand as America hauls more than 9 billion tons of cargo around the country every year! Directly connected with that figure is that 70% of communities rely on the trucking industry for the delivery of their merchandise! Trucking is a part of the American way and it is a way of life.

Enjoy the open road and get started as a truck driver today!
