So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Axles 101

By Stephan Marking

As soon as my car start to make a noise that I haven't heard before or even if it starts to feel a little different, I know it is telling me that something is wrong. I recently had problems with my axle and I was able to identify it through the noises that it was making. Here are a couple things that are good to know about your axle, including signs to look for if you may need any repairs.

The best indicator that your axle needs some work is if you are turning right or left and you can hear a clicking noise. This same sound can be heard when you lift your foot off of the accelerator. If you hear this noise at either of these times, your best bet is that your axle needs some fixing.

Don't confuse the clicking noise with a low rumble or a whining noise. These are frequent noises that you can hear from your car, and they are usually a sign of other problems.

Axles are a little more complicating now that they were 20 years ago. They are also different depending on the car and year of the car that you have. They are a very important, and play a key role in your steering system.

Now a days newer cars have a split axle. This means that both sides are connected to separate shafts. This allows for an easier ride because each side has separate suspension.

With a split axle, your wheels will actually move at different speeds as you turn a corner. This adds more than just comfort, but a sense of security and better traction. If you find yourself driving a lot on wet and slippery roads, this is something that can help.

To drive safely it is key that your axle be in good condition because it is such a key part of your steering. If you find out there is anything wrong with it, don't hesitate to fix it.

There are so many distractions to avoid when driving. Turn down the music so that you can listen to your car. Always remember that if you hear or can feel something wrong with your car when you are driving, it is trying to tell you something. Don't wait forever to get your car fixed, do it now.
