So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

By Andy Zain

The Chevy Lumina was a sedan and minivan designed by the popular American Company, General Motors. It was in production from the year 1990 all the way until 2001 when it finally ceased production. Having undergone various redesigns and changes over the years, it proved to be a popular car with a good track record.

Because in this range were only ever produced in a single plant to begin with, based in Ontario in Canada. The car had a particularly unique design was also the longest of its time for some time. In 1997, the product range started to get phased out with the coming of new lines of products, specifically the Chevrolet Venture.

The first generation of cars, introduced in 1990 introduced mid-sized cars similar to the Pontiac Grand Prix. It became a popular seller, but it was widely criticised by various motoring magazines for being rather late in the game, being rather technologically behind certain competing models.

1995 introduced the new range of models, the second generation for the Chevy Lumina. 1995 saw a major redesign, resurrecting the two door version which was originally sold as the Lumina coupe. A more powerful engine was included and the car was also sold to taxi and police organisations with special packages.

The car also became popular be sold to law enforcement agencies and taxi companies. This was partly because of its reliability and reasonable performance, and it became very popular, as did many cars from General Motors, for all sorts of government agencies and other major organisations.

In 1998, the Chevy Lumina went through yet another overhaul, receiving some more advanced second generation airbags and various other safety changes. A four wheel drive was also introduced, replacing the Lumina back in 2000. However, for a while after, the cars were still produced sold exclusively for rental fleets.

Production eventually ended in Canada back in 1999 but United States production ended in the middle of 2001. Nonetheless, the production of the car continued in certain Asian countries while in Latin America, it was sold under a different name, that name being the Omega.

A version of the car was also very popular in the Middle East and South Africa. This had a few variations on the theme, but the designs continue to be used from the year 2007 to present, still being particularly popular in those areas of the world. The car still continues to be a popular second-hand buy.
