So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Constipation Remedies The Natural Way

By Kelly Coolman

Feeling constipated is a dreadful feeling. It's impossible to feel good about yourself with a bloated stomach, terrible wind, stabbing pains in the abdomen and an inability to go to the toilet properly.

Help is at hand with natural constipation remedies that avoid the use of chemical laxatives.

Simply take note of my 5 handy tips and incorporate them into your daily routine.

You'll finally be able to go to the toilet, get into a normal routine, and feel socially more confident. Sounds good!

1. Eat the right food.

Avoid eating the wrong types of food, particularly processed foods. This includes food made with white flour and white sugar, such as white bread, white pasta, cakes and biscuits.

White bread, white pasta, cakes and sugary biscuits made from white flour have had the fibre removed, meaning the body has nothing to push the food along through your body. The processing of foods generally strips away all the nutrients and goodnes too, dealing a double whammy blow to your body.

Eat natural and simple foods instead. Aim to eat lots more vegetables, fruit, cereals and wholesome unprocessed food.

Eating this way will prevent your system becoming blocked because your body can't move your food along as it should.

Eating a health diet aids the elimination of waste products and the absorption of essential vitamins and minerals that lead to general good health as well as a healthy bowel.

Don't be fooled by adverts for miraculous constipation remedies. There's no substitute for a varied and wholesome diet.

2. Drink more water.

Few people drink the recommended 2 liters of water per day but this really helps to maintain a healthy system as well as being beneficial in other ways, such as aiding concentration and preventing tiredness.

Drink more water - simple!

3. Slow down

Food should be enjoyed and savored. Bolting meals down doesn't allow the body to produce the necessary enzymes that begin the process of digestion.

Chew your food properly too. You'll feel fuller much quicker, which not only helps get rid of constipation, but also can help with weight loss too. Result!

4. Exercise.

3 x 20 minute burst of energy each week is enough to boost your digestion and metabolism. You don't have to run a marathon.

Exercising releases endorphins, your body's natural 'feel-good' chemical. This make you feel better about yourself which in itself is an excellent aid to good digestion.

Think about how could you incorporate more exercise into your day - even a brisk walk will work wonders.

Your body will thank you with regular, healthy bowel movements, I promise.

5. Don't eat too late in the day

Don't eat too soon before going to bed. When you sleep your body shuts down and toxins build up and enter your blood stream.

While you're sleeping you also can't digest nutrients from your food, and your body stops pushing your food through properly.

Even worse, because you can't drink water while sleeping, you also deny your body a crucial factor in healthy digestion.

Stop eating so close to bed-time and your body with thank you for it by improving your digestion.

Make these 5 simple changes to your lifestyle and wave goodbye to your constipation symptoms forever, without the need to buy over-the-counter constipation remedies.
