So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Toy Story Costumes Don't Mean Just Woody or Buzz Lightyear Outfits

By David Lawson

The popularity of the Toy Story movies has inspired some of the most popular costume ideas since the first movie was released in 1995. The usual Toy Story costumes usually consist of Woody, Jessie, and Buzz Lightyear as their iconic status has only increased with children over the years.

One of a Kind Toy Story Costumes

Toy Story costumes may be top on your list for Halloween costume ideas this year, especially since it's so easy to find a Sheriff Woody, Cowgirl Jessie, or Buzz Lightyear getup. But wouldn't be be more exciting to express more of your individuality and go with a less well-known toy from the blockbuster movies?

After all, the three main characters shouldn't be all you limit yourself to. For some other great Toy Story costume ideas, here are a few examples:

Lovable Bo Peep

This toy is modeled after Little Bo Beep from the popular children's story. In the first movie, Bo Beep plays the object of Sheriff Woody's affections, so this Toy Story costume would work great as a couples costume. You can probably find what you need to create a cute shepherdess ensemble at a local thrift shop.

Hamm I Am

Hamm really stole the show for many fans of the Toy Story films. Purchasing a pig costume would allow you to create a Toy Story costume in Hamm's image rather easily. He is a piggy bank, so you just need to make it obvious that there's a coin slot on the back and a cork on the tummy. Of course you can simply find a ready-made Hamm costume online if that's more up your alley.

Mr. Potato Head

Mr. Potato Head is a potato-shaped toy with large, colorful body parts that detach. His character is sarcastic and outspoken, and as far as Toy Story costumes go, he makes a great one! A Mr. Potato Head Toy Story costume is a great chance to get creative ? imagine all the possibilities with those interchangeable parts!

Girls also have a great opportunity to get creative with Mrs. Potato Head. She's almost the same as Mr. Potato Head but with more feminine plastic parts like eyelashes, skirts and high heel shoes. Think of how well a Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head costume would work for couples going to a costume party together!

Because Sarge Says So

Everyone remembers the leader of the green plastic toy soldiers, Sarge. His character is still quite popular and it's simple to copy his green army uniform for a one of a kind Toy Story costume.

It doesn't matter whether you pick Hamm, Sarge, Mr. Potato Head or Bo Peep, you'll surely have a great time at your costumed event. Remember, why not be yourself instead of like everyone else by standing out in your one of a kind Toy Story costume? The Toy Story character you choose doesn't matter nearly as much as the attitude you bring with it!
