So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

How To Fertilize Bonsai Tree

By Debra Drewei

Bonsai trees, akin to every other living things, need food for existence. In contrast to the roots of normal trees that develop for further expanses looking for nourishment, the roots of bonsai trees are restricted to grow inside the container and hence theyll be capable of obtaining merely whatever nutrition is present in the soil within the container. Therefore, the soil inside the container requires to be frequently refilled with the apt quantity of nutrients.

The process of furnishing nutrients to the soil in which plants develop is called Fertilizing ... its an essential segment of bonsai tree care. The nutrients available in the manure will assist the bonsai tree to manufacture its own food by a method termed Photosynthesis. The amount ... type of manure to be endow for bonsai tree care is largely dependant on aspects like: - Type of bonsai tree - Age of the bonsai tree - Time of the year in which the bonsai is fertilized

The fundamental nutrients in fertilizers are Nitrogen, Phosphorous and Potassium, available in various proportions for various fertilizers. You should apply fertilizer all through the development period of the tree; starting early spring till mid autumn. Indoor trees however can be fertilized around the year. It is desirable to apply higher quantity of fertilizer frequently (like once in 2 weeks) for young trees, ... carry on reducing the amount ... frequency as the tree ages.

In order to confer apt bonsai tree care, by no means over-fertilize. Excess fertilizer results in burning of roots and leaves. Burned roots are not competent enough for drawing water from the soil ... transporting it on to the various parts of the bonsai tree. On account of over-fertilizing, keep to water the plant until the water pours out of the drain hole ... allow it to drain. Then re-water it. This procedure is called leaching and helps to discard surplus fertilizers.

Points to bear in mind: - At all times water the bonsai tree prior to mixing the fertilizer. - Try to make use of a water dissolvable fertilizer. - On no account fertilize an ill plant until it has become well again. - Even if it is a growth season, dont provide fertilizer to a sleeping outdoor bonsai till it demonstrates signs of development. If it is inside, you can add fertilizer rarely, like once in a month.

With correct bonsai tree care, by providing the right quantity of fertilizer at the right time, youll be able to grow ... sustain a healthy bonsai tree.
