So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Le Creuset Tea Tea Pot; An Ideal Tea Pot For Any Kitchen

By Henry Jeon

Since'91 Le Creuset has been making steel pots and pans that are covered with enamel making them very durable and effective in the kitchen. They offer all products in a variety of sizes, styles and colors. The Le Creuset tea kettle boils water quickly and effectively and has many features regular tea kettles do not have.

Le Creuset products are made of very high quality. There are many models available that come in a multitude of fun colors that will compliment the color of your kitchen. These tea pots will last for years and be as effective in heating water in a few years as they were when they were bought.

The tea pots are made in the same manner as all other Le Creuset goods. Stainless steel bases are covered with a porcelain enamel that will protect the product from ever deteriorating or rusting. A nice feature is the unique handle that make the tea pots pour with ease. Whistling kettles will also let you know when it is time to pull the kettle off the heat. You can use tea kettles on any stove including those with induction heat.

The instructions for using the kettle are easy to understand and the same for all models. Never fill with water above the spout line because you can get easily burned from escaping hot water. Be sure to never simmer continuously until the kettle is out of water. This could cause serious damage to the kettle. Because mineral deposits gather it is a good idea to empty the kettle every time you use it. That way there will be no build up to cause it to not be as efficient. If you drop the kettle on a hard tile floor it can be chipped. It is suggested that most kettles are washed by hand with mild dish soap and never use abrasive cleanser or steel wool pads because the porcelain enamel can scratch. Just use a sponge or nylon pad and some elbow grease to get a stain off.

Le Creuset products are available in all different fun colors and they run anywhere from $65 to $100. This may seem like a hefty price but they are not only stylish but they will last for years with the correct care.

A whistle will alert you to the fact the water is boiling in the one of the more popular modles. Even though steam may be rising from the whistling knob it will always be cool and never burn your fingers to raise it. The ergonomic handle allows anyone to pour easily and the kettle has a spout that will not drip preventing splattering of hot water. The colors are endless and it will hold about 2 quarts of water.

The model called Zen is just a bit smaller. It also has the spout that will not drip and the knob and whistle that will not burn if you touch it. It comes in different colors as well. The enamel finish will resist any odor retention or stains. This one can be washed in a dishwasher. It also has a very wide opening so that it is easy to clean. The lockable, 2 position handle is a great feature and allows even those with arthritis to be able to pour with ease.

It is important to wash the kettle before using it the first time. Le Creuset tea kettles should be effective and beautiful for many years to come if they are maintained with the right care. They will always look perfect and colorful from the day you purchased it.
