So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Let's Discover Some Window Cleaners

By Jacob Phillips

Although cleaning windows is not rocket science, it can sometimes seem like a daunting task. In fact, it is a chore that most homeowners dread, and for good reason. Getting a streak free shine on a window can be an elusive process. Finding the best window cleaners and getting the job done right in the quickest amount of time can take some of the drudgery out of the chore.

There are loads of different products available that promise dry without streaks and provide clearer windows. Some of these products are ammonia based. They are generally safe for glass and other types of surfaces, however doing a spot check or reading the directions carefully is always recommended.

Many people are purchasing environmentally friendly cleaning supplies. Eco-friendly products do not rely on harsh chemicals and instead use natural plant based substances. The odors from eco-friendly products are not as strong as other types of cleaners, which makes people that are sensitive to certain types of chemicals very happy. For a really natural method, some people just will use vinegar and water on windows.

The pleasant smell and how well they clean are an added bonus. For those that want a natural substitute for glass cleaner will often use a solution of vinegar and water. Although the smell of vinegar is not pleasant to some, it can make your windows shine.

One way to get a streak free shine is to spray the window cleaner of choice directly onto the glass. Using a paper towel (or coffee filter or newspaper) clean the glass using a vertical motion. Then repeat the process on the other side of the glass, but use horizontal swipes. This will allow you to see where (if any) streaks are and to correct them, resulting in a clear view.

The method that the window is cleaned is almost as important as the product used. Many use a circular motion, but it suggested that you wipe from side to side, around the edge, then wipe vertical. When you do this, you can tell where the streaks are so you can get them before you leave that window.
