So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Calculating The Size Of Storage Unit You Need

By Andy Taylor

Anytime you relocate, downsize, or travel for an extended time, you are bound to need a self storage unit for storing your possessions. The big question is, what size do you really need to get?

By choosing a unit that isn't big enough, you'll end up having to waste time moving to a bigger unit eventually. By choosing a unit that is too large, you will be spending on unneeded space. Here are some tips which can help you with your space needs.

- A 5 x 5 unit - 25 square feet

A storage unit of this size is equivalent to a small walk-in closet. Five feet is quite tiny, just enough to store some containers and a few things.

- a 5 by 10 foot self storage unit is equal to 50 square feet in size.

The size of this unit is akin to a good size walk-in closet. A few larger items, such as a sofa, bureau and/or mattress set in addition to boxes and other small things, could be stored here. Remember to make the most of your wall and ceiling space by installing shelving.

- 5' x 15' self storage unit - 75 square feet

This is sufficient to store everything in a one bedroom or studio-type apartment unit. A unit this size will accommodate the possessions of up to two people, as long as they haven't accumulated too many things.

- 10' x 10' self storage unit - 100 square feet

A storage unit of this size is equivalent to a conventional garage for a single auto. The contents of a two bedroom apartment would easily fit in this unit; it can also hold the possessions belonging to two people, or it could even be used as a garage for storage of a vehicle or a boat. You need to remember to choose a storage unit which can be accessed from the outside and not a hallway if this is what you are planning to use it for.

- 10' x 15' self storage unit - 150 square feet

This unit is larger than a one car garage and in it you can store all the contents of a three bedroom apartment or home, in addition to other things like motorcycles and exercise equipment.

- a 10 by 20 foot self storage unit is equal to 200 square feet of space.

This unit is approximately the size of a two car garage. An automobile, truck, boat or RV could be stored in it, in addition to some furniture and boxes. The contents of a large three bedroom home or apartment can easily be accommodated in this storage space with room to spare. It is ideal for households containing four or more individuals.
