So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Since The World Cup South Africa Can Compete With Other Tourist Destinations

By Scott G. Woodward

If they weren't already familiar with it, people wouldn't have even considered visiting South Africa before the World Cup in 2010. However the World Cup highlighted how South Africa has developed and how friendly the locals are. Now people are more so considering going on holiday there. Of course it's important to stay in the right hotels and areas as there are still areas to avoid just like with any other place.

Due to it being regarded as one of the world's most beautiful cities, Cape Town comes with a price tag. How about a breathtaking 17,000 bottle vintage wine collection for guests to choose from? Or how about acclaimed chefs? Both of which are available at the amazing Ellerman House. Granite from table mountain itself has been used to add a further bit if South African charm to the bar area.

If you're looking for something a little cheaper like a hostel then the award winning Backpack and Africa travel centre is perfect. This hostel is more like a hotel as it boasts a Wifi room, reading lights be every bed, a swimming pool and a hostel cafe and bar. This place is presented so well, it's hard to believe it's a hostel at all.

If Cape Town isn't where you want to head then Durban offers a great alternative. It's beautiful beaches are just a stroll from hotels such as the Don Oceanic Durban. A little cheaper than the Ellerman, the Don Oceanic has ample facilities and then more which really shows how far South Africa has come and the lengths its people go to, to attract tourists.

A positive light was shone on South Africa in the World Cup in 2010 and the World's eyes have been opened to the welcome feeling from its people as well as the beauty of the place. For a new experience, maybe it's time to consider South Africa since its hostels and hotels are surpassing other popular tourist locations.
