So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas

The Marketing Genius of Adidas

By Aaron Gibbons

Adidas is one of the most popular and well known brands in the world. Their marketing campaigns receive wide acclaim from both marketing and non marketing professionals and result in a brand exposure that is the envy of all other sports and clothing brands.

Their connection to artists and sports superstars has been the key to their success. They recruited one of the most popular UK bands to host a free gig in the city of Manchester, UK. The event was hosted in an all white arena and participants were given free white Adidas clothing. Paintball guns were then handed out and the crowd and artists were all asked to creatively interact with each other, covering the whole event in a rush of colour. Customer engagement on this level can't be achieved by any other brands.

The recent house party commercial that Adidas created also received notable acclaim and popularity. The commercial took some of the most famous people of the time and put them together in an amazing party environment. Stars such as Katy Perry, Missy Elliot, DMC and even David Beckham were involved in creating the commercial advertising Adidas originals.

Adidas is well known for their biggest superstar sponsorship - David Beckham. The sporting superstar has made it big on both sides of the Atlantic, being hugely popular in both the UK and the US thanks to his sporting ability, good looks and unique sense of style. Adidas were quick to sign Beckham up as their poster boy and the two have enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship ever since, so much so that the brand created a personalised logo to capture his own trademark - his famous free kick.

The Beckham/Adidas collaborations have reached astonishing highs, particularly when the brand created a personalised logo, depicting the sports star's famous free kick. Beckham and Adidas have been working together for over 10 years and their relationship is mutually beneficial; not only do Adidas have rights to being promoted by Beckham; the star also receives support from the company when it comes to launching his own ventures, such as the David Beckham Academy.
