So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas

New On the Scene is Artisan Coffee

By Arthur Sudina

For years coffee has been the perfect morning routine pick me up, with many people feeling that they can't start the day without that first cup. But coffee is not just a morning routine, it is also an American drink, almost a ritual during an evening with friends, or with a familiar companion sharing dessert, and students have always turned to coffee to help them stay awake while cramming for exams. In the past many coffee drinkers did not discriminate particularly between brews. However, gone are the days when a simple cup of java from an instant jar will do. Coffee drinkers are willing to pay for not only the kick but also that extra flavor from a quality bean

Artisan coffee is now on the scene with the coffees of the past. Its beans are roasted and taste tested by and for the coffee connoisseur who can detect nuances in special coffees, and as more and more people are expecting better quality taste from their coffee, the market for it will continue to grow.

Coffee has come a long way from the days of instant and generic coffee from the grocery store. Those coffees were usually enjoyed primarily for their pick me up properties than for deep rich flavor and for the rituals they sustain, but now people who enjoy dessert can enjoy a coffee that can rival its flavor or perhaps even replace it.

The process by which artisan coffee is produced is organic from start to finish. From growing the plants, to picking the beans, to grinding the beans, to the final product that arrives in your cup, artisan coffee is ecologically friendly, and in particular it does not disturb the habitat of migratory birds who stop over near the coffee fields during their pass through to other destinations. No dangerous chemicals are used that might harm either the drinker or the environment. Artisan coffee is pure from the bean to the cup.

Artisan coffee also operates under fair trade agreements that insure that all involved receive proper treatment through the company. Fair prices and wages given to coffee workers who plant, pick and roast the beans help artisan coffee drinkers feel good about the coffee they drink in that it not only does not harm the environment but that it neither harms the workers who receive a far market price for their labor and product. Few industries can boast so much.

As coffee drinkers become more and more experienced with what the best coffee tastes like, they will probably turn to the best coffees that their money can buy. This is where artisan coffee can step in. You won't be disappointed in any way when you pick up that cup of artisan coffee.
