So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Should You Pay That Much For Flannel Sheets?

By Raven Ross

Do you prefer sleeping in thick and soft layers of cotton? If you are, you should probably look into some flannel sheets. These sheets help keep the heat in and, due to its bulky completeness, will probably hold out longer than muslin sheets.

You could probably use the same quality criteria applied to cotton sheets on flannel sheets. When comparing these two products, you should take into account the general construction, variety, as well as the thread count.

Quality is directly proportional to price when comparing different flannel sheets. Standard flannel sheets are affordable and are of decent quality, yet if you are willing to bleed out your bank by buying Egyptian flannel sheets, you would get sheets that are of quality comparable to sheets of silk.

Another important thing to remember while buying your sheets is that you have to feel the sheets before you buy it. Comfort is one of those things that can never be transferred into ink on paper.

Construction may affect the pricing of the sheets more than the quality of the material itself. One construction that you have to look for is the multi-hemming of your sheets' ends, as seeing the edge is not desirable when purchasing sheets.

Most durable sheets or pillowcases must have at least 4"-5" on the edges to prevent wear and tear. Another aspect of these things you have to pay attention to is the annoying tags that scratch you while you sleep. Choose comforters such as the Luxury Comforter sets that have stamped on logos.

Be aware of the designs on your sheets. While children's sheets are sketchy and colorful, adult sheets are plaid, colored, or printed. What you should watch out for is the way it is implemented. Printed designs are usually cheaper, but have a much lower quality standard, as it is printed on and not woven.

The final step in purchasing a practical flannel sheet would be to set a budget. Buying decent flannel sheets from JC Penney or some other mall would cost you anywhere between 30 to 40 dollars. Keep in mind that anything lower than that would not be worth your money.
